doubleonothing Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 Congrats to him, but no Shaw announcement yet. Maybe building up to it!
TK8267 Posted 12 July, 2013 Author Posted 12 July, 2013 Winger @lloyd_isgrove has signed a new one-year deal at #SaintsFC having travelled to Spain with the First Team. pic.twitter.com/FRGrxQNWaa
Toon Saint Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 Must be part of the drum roll for the Shaw announcement... Never seen Isgrove play, but heard good things. His other half is certainly an exciting prospect.
Matthew Le God Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 No Eterna watch but a nice friendly hug from Pochettino..aww...
DuncanRG Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 Good stuff and congrats to him. Haven't seen him play too much but he speaks well.
Window Cleaner Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 No Eterna watch but a nice friendly hug from Pochettino..aww... perhaps he's like Morgan, wears his watch on his right wrist. Anyway he's in casual club kit, perhaps he has the Eterna stowed away in his stuff.
DJ_TOAST Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 if he was so good surely we would have signed him for more then a year
SNSUN Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 No Eterna watch but a nice friendly hug from Pochettino..aww... Some of our youngsters look like schoolkids - I remember Jo "Fish" Mills looked like he should have still been in primary school - but Isgrove looks older than he is. Fully grown? Shove him in the first team!
Saint J 77 Posted 13 July, 2013 Posted 13 July, 2013 Does he have a realistic chance of breaking into the team?
RobM Posted 13 July, 2013 Posted 13 July, 2013 if he was so good surely we would have signed him for more then a year Does he have a realistic chance of breaking into the team? My guess is the one year contract is there to answer this question. If he makes good enough progress in the next year and shows he is ready for this level, I'm sure a longer deal will follow. If not, he's young enough to move on without harm to his career and we're not stuck with a long contract. Everyones a winner.
dronskisaint Posted 13 July, 2013 Posted 13 July, 2013 Guess the year is to see if his injury that kept him out for months has cleared up for good? Serious knee op as I recall? Has looked really good the two times I've seen him play...once pre-injury, once after. Good luck to him...good to see him given the chance.
