Saint Charlie Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Great goal by DMG, described on BBC as a "real quality goal"
benjii Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Sounds like an absolute beauty.... I will probably dispute Dave Merrington's, "You won't see a better goal than that", though!
Saint Martini Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 If so, someone needs to inform JP of the rules. Decided tonite, pens if required, no replays I just gave him a ring, he agreed scoring another goal was the way to go.
dubai_phil Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 5 or so mins of possession, playing the ball around eventually DMG found some space and wallop. Exeter were tiring but the possession figures now should be better 13 mins to go
simo Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Get in David Mc! I think a few people will be eating their words this season about him! {last post till i can scrape up a fiver!}
saintkiptanui Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 LOL... right on cue, they have a goal disallowed ******, stupid ref/linesman.
toofarnorth Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Past three players, stormed into box and great finish. So i've heard.
66East Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Great stuff! We need at least another 2 to make it safe though.
exit2 Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 I'm going to post this here as i cant start new threads....My mate is at the game, at the same hotel that Poortvliet and Hockaday were at earlier today, he chatted to Jan for a while this is what he has fed back to me (dont shoot the messenger!) 1.Rasiak is going to Watford for 1.7 Mil euros, he wanted to leave although JP wanted to keep him. 2. Rudi - No other offers apart from Ipswitch which he turned down to them offering him half the cash per wk then he is on with us. Go home to sort his head out, but will play for Saints again. 3. Dyer - Head all over the place at mo, not leaving. 4. John - not leaving unless a massive offer. Well up for the new season & playing for Saints. 5. Euell/Thomas/Davis - Open to offers as top earners at Saints. JP wants to keep kelvin. 6. A Davies- coming along well in training, although still a bit wary...pulling out of some challenges due to fear of another facial injury. 7. Mcgoldrick- Was going to Nottingham Forest as he is homesick - JP spoke to him after West Ham game and convinced him to stay. 8. Young players - Lowe sent communication to agents of young players stating NO youngster would be sold by Saints this season. (Due to Reading showing intrest in Drew & Liverpool in a young player i forget the name off-sorry) 9. Schneiederlin - has a 5 mil sell on clause, not linked/promised to another club. 10. JP worried Lowe may sell players with out his agreement/knowledge. Read into this what you will - Enjoy and Up the Saints ! 1. Watford are in the **** money wise and might be going into administration? 2. Heard before 3. Why would he leave, just signed a new contract 4. Good 5. Said that at the forum 6. Be a couple of weeks yet 7. Maybe 8. If a good price came he he would sell! 9. Not sure this is possible 10 . Possible!
dubai_phil Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 I just gave him a ring, he agreed scoring another goal was the way to go. I heard his boss MW was reading this thread and had a oops moment and sent JP a text.
adysaint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Woo Hoo! Got 0-2 on the Prediction League. Just chill boys. Take it easy.

Possible! Bet Lowe is keeping close tabs on the McG situation, especially since he is banging the goals in.
dubai_phil Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Great stuff! We need at least another 2 to make it safe though. Now now, this is total football, not last season's total despair I hope!
saintkiptanui Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Woo Hoo! Got 0-2 on the Prediction League. Just chill boys. Take it easy. One goal back for Exeter and that makes it two perfect predictions out of two. Whats the prize Steve??
Saint_clark Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Derby 1-1 Ah well, can't have a perfect night.....
Gully Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Ah well, can't have a perfect night..... If it goes to extra time it might tire them out for the league.
Saint Charlie Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Ah well, can't have a perfect night..... In a way hope they win, then Jewell can't get his first win against us.
Saints67 Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Derby 1-1 really? BBC & Sporting Life still say 0-1 to Lincoln! Doh! Refreshing screen makes it 1-1
thefuriousb Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 43% possession against Exeter with our total football, oh my. The only figures that really matter are the ones in the top left hand corner.
Saint_clark Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 If it goes to extra time it might tire them out for the league. Good point. Lincoln to win 3-0 on penalties then....
66East Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Now now, this is total football, not last season's total despair I hope! Not just last season though is it. More like about 40 years.
Saint Charlie Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 McGoldrick scored in 4 consecutive games now....
Junction 9 Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 One goal back for Exeter and that makes it two perfect predictions out of two. Whats the prize Steve?? Ahem.
benjii Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Bart fouls up again. Seriously, I hope the Kelvin bashers will realise he is much better than Bart soon.
saintkiptanui Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 The only figures that really matter are the ones in the top left hand corner.I wasn't being totally Alpinesque, I put oh my at the end, you are too serious.
Joesaint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 In a way hope they win, then Jewell can't get his first win against us. Yea but if they loose there confidence would not be too good!
Saint_clark Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Cope was talking about a flag when that goal went in.
Mr saint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Hmmmmm.......what is it with Saints and conceeding late goals?
saintkiptanui Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Ahem.2-1 oh sh*t. A tenner is good but I hoped Steve might add a new car or something.
adysaint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 One goal back for Exeter and that makes it two perfect predictions out of two. Whats the prize Steve?? You F***er!
Saint Martini Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 We'll have to see who screwed up, the ref or Bart.
Mr saint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Cope was talking about a flag when that goal went in. At least I know I'm not the only Saints fan in Dorset.
Jez Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 One goal back for Exeter and that makes it two perfect predictions out of two. Whats the prize Steve?? Well, looks like you might be right then!
saintkiptanui Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 You F***er! I'm thinking 2-2 now and no points for getting a win right, it's all going wrong.
Saint_clark Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 At least I know I'm not the only Saints fan in Dorset. Just look at my location.
Saint_Mabes Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Totally agree Kelvin is extremely important and unfortunately I don't have enough confidence in Bart (overall that is, I have no idea how he is doin this game) Something I can't get my head round is why we bought Forecast. Surely we were meant to sell one of our current goalies??
Ziggy Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 I bet Birmingham are looking forward to the last five minutes on Saturday.
Saint_clark Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 That injury that Bart had a couple of seasons ago really f*cked him. He looked brilliant before that. Nevermind, Davis and Forecast it is.

Surely we were meant to sell one of our current goalies?? Perhaps Jan has been allowed to overule Rupert on this one?
eurosaint Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 3 mins extra time, let's hope to feck that they don't get a free kick on edge of the box !
dubai_phil Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 3 mins stoppage time. Is it time for a weather report? We know it is raining in Manchester and DMG scored just after that anywhere else? I'd give a report but it's dark so other than fookin hot I have no idea
Andy_Porter Posted 12 August, 2008 Posted 12 August, 2008 Totally agree Kelvin is extremely important and unfortunately I don't have enough confidence in Bart (overall that is, I have no idea how he is doin this game) Something I can't get my head round is why we bought Forecast. Surely we were meant to sell one of our current goalies?? I can't figure out why we signed a third keeper either really, would have made better sense to just put a recall option into Pokes loan and maybe use the Forcast wages/fee on a more important position or even keeping a senior pro.
