Molde FK has called a news conference Thursday. 16.30. See it live in the video window on top!

Earlier in the day, Vegard Forren observed with his agent Jim Solbakken going from office to Molde director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen.

After the TV 2 Sport has learned it is not a case of a lease, but the 25-year-old will be bought back to the club.

Probably would press conference deal with middle defender's return to former club.

Forren went to Southampton in the transfer window in January, but only the day after he arrived at the Premier League club manager Nigel Aidkins got fired.

Under Mauricio Pocchetino has center-back is not got no game and this summer brought Southampton a direct competitor in Lyons, Dejan Lovren.

Earlier this summer revealed Forren to tv2.no that he had no intention to go on loan to Molde, despite Solskjaer desire.

- I'm very fond of Molde and hope they do well. But right now it's not an option for me, said last time.

Now it appears that he has changed his mind.

No loss, never looked like a decent CB even when playing for the u21s. Not sure what went wrong with this signing, but something did for sure.

Or profit? ;)

(So soon, returning to same club, wouldn't be surprised if just cancel fees out)

What utter b*ll*cks, Nick.

Come on, wake up and tune into Reality FM, FFS.

If you bought a car from a dealer and tried to take it back, do you think he's going to give you what he paid for it ?

EDIT : not even counting what we paid him in wages - to do the square-root of bugger all in return.

How bizarre. If true then it's been a total farce in the end.

I suppose the explanation would be that he was a committee signing but once he got here Pochettino didn't really fancy him. Perhaps he hasn't reached the fitness/performance levels we were expecting from him?

Let's wait and see.

If car was one that didn't depreciate and it was dealer who approached me possibly. Stretching the analogy!

Profit comment (with ;) ) was tongue in cheek at you once again being negative without facts.

Reckon a loss is more likely than profit, if this is true. But he is young, international in their country, not impossible that they are keen to get him.

Anyway

Think we have two good international first choice CBs, and two in reserve, plus youth.

We won't want our 25 man squad full of CB, four plenty - not having seen him but hoped he would be better than JH/JF to be one of 4.

Reckon good squad now, early deals done, pressure off...

Seems incredibly strange considering this comment from MoPo the other day

solentsport: #saintsfc boss Mauricio Pochettino says defender Vegard Forren will get the chance to prove himself in pre-season.

If we're linked with other centre backs perhaps we've got one and all concerned have decided its best if he moves on. If we are signing another hell be at best 4th choice.

I think the Sorensen links might be genuine. Forren just never seemed to fit in.

alex_crook: Vegard Forren is rejoining #molde today on a permanent contract #SaintsFC #transfers

alex_crook: Fee #molde are paying #saintsfc yet to be disclosed but will not be as much as the reported £4m they paid for him in January

I'm starting to think this is Glasgows twitter account, "revealing" info shortly after it's already been revealed elsewhere.

Maybe Pochettino doesn't always tell the truth in press conferences?

Maybe we have got Astori then and Veggard is now so far down the pecking order a move back to Molde is the best choice for him, and we get to recoup some cash..

Cesc Fàbregas? I think it may depend on the car in question.......

Up to January we only had 3 CB's so we had to get someone in reserve. Perhaps he was one of Adkins choices. He certainly wasn't MP's.

Seems unlikely, Forren seemed to make it pretty clear Adkins had no part in the deal when he spoke in a press conference shortly after he signed. From what I remember, he said that he never met Adkins and that he was made aware that there was going to be a change a couple of weeks before NA got the boot.

Correct, he said when he joined he knew we were getting a new manager. A committee signing this one.

Yeah that is what I remember Steve.

It does all seem a bit odd.

Maybe we have decided to bring in another CB and just try and get as much cash as possible back from Forren. I think I read Wagamama can play CB so another possibility is he could be used there as cover?

Be interesting to see how this plans out because if we lose him then I think we definitely need another CB. Jos,Fonte and Yos all made mistakes last year and really only Yos looked like the one improving.

Be interesting to see what happened, clearly was highly regarded, yet back where he started. Homesick? Unliked by MP? Too much competition?

Always a risk signings won't work out, but you expect a game or two first. Better to sell than have him sit around not playing though. Good luck to him anyway.

I wonder how much of Markus's money was lost on this transaction.

never mind Markus's money, what about all the cash we've been shelling out to go through the turnstiles! could have saved on the transfer and lowered some prices to make football more affordable

I doubt Southampton paid that £4m upfront and as he was only here for 7 months and didn't play a game he wouldn't have racked up much in the way of clauses. So Saints may have only paid one payment out of lets say 3 years of payments. Molde in return may be buying him back for a fee equal to that first payment.

Still an odd transfer regardless of how much of a loss or not was made on him.
