trousers Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Jordan Sibley @jordansibley The new @SouthamptonFC Official Team Coach has arrived @ St Mary's. Looking forward to travelling on it this season!
Bucks Saint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Not even any Red now, never mind stripes FFS. Cortese out
lifeintheslowlane Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Not even any Red now, never mind stripes FFS. Cortese out It's the away kit.
Webby Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 jordansibley: Our new Official Team Coach has been designed to a bespoke specification and will only be used by #SaintsFC http://t.co/SlvRYrivKT Shame they didn't apply that thinking to the kit. Have to say though, that looks pretty classy!
itchen_dan Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 http://www.ellisonstravel.com/Premiership-Coach-Range All on a coach All the Premiership vehicles have: • Luxury leather interiors • Reclining seats • Tables with sockets for laptops and mobiles • Wifi • Kitchen with fan ovens, microwave and fridges • Coffee machine • Ice making machine • Climate controlled • Polarising privacy glass • Sky TV • Bose surround sound
beatlesaint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Thats a hell of a thing. As someone has said more thought went into that than into the home shirt
Saint_clark Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Jesus christ that's nice. When I'm a millionaire I'm getting me one of them.
spyinthesky Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Didn't the Pompey based coach firm who bought out Coliseum have the Saints coach contract? The new team bus must have cost at least £500k to buy so the cost per trip may be around the £8-£10k mark
jayrivers Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Looks nice! In cycling they put loads of money into the coach because then the cyclists will recover quickly so they have loads of luxeries on there. Guess the same theory would apply to footballers. If you can begin recovering on the journey home them you should be fitter for training the following week!
Charlie Wayman Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Poor old Adkins, his bus has arrived far too late for him to take any advantage. Turfing off the conductor was never a good idea
moonraker Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 http://www.ellisonstravel.com/Premiership-Coach-Range All on a coach All the Premiership vehicles have: • Luxury leather interiors • Reclining seats • Tables with sockets for laptops and mobiles • Wifi • Kitchen with fan ovens, microwave and fridges • Coffee machine • Ice making machine • Climate controlled • Polarising privacy glass • Sky TV • Bose surround sound No Toilets!!
Saint Benali Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 That is a beast of a bus. Even Adkins would be proud of that one!
farawaysaint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I thought it would be smarter inside Love that the safety sign is in Spanish as well, wouldn't want Mauricio tripping after all
FloridaMarlin Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I know all's fair in love and war and business, and I've no doubt Saints had their sound reasons for doing this. But Ellison's is a Merseyside company and this is a bit of a slap in the face for local businesses.

Have to say though, that looks pretty classy! I reckon it's Liverpool's old one, 'coz in that picture one of the hubcaps is missing.
itchen_dan Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Love that the safety sign is in Spanish as well, wouldn't want Mauricio tripping after all haha
Soton7 Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I know all's fair in love and war and business, and I've no doubt Saints had their sound reasons for doing this. But Ellison's is a Merseyside company and this is a bit of a slap in the face for local businesses. Can't you remember the last time we instructed a local business/ fan to do some work for us? The Ted Bates statue worked out well...

But Ellison's is a Merseyside company and this is a bit of a slap in the face for local businesses. Perhaps Brijan Tours didn't have a Starliner available
Wes Tender Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Didn't the Pompey based coach firm who bought out Coliseum have the Saints coach contract? The new team bus must have cost at least £500k to buy so the cost per trip may be around the £8-£10k mark Coliseum used to have the contract and managed to supply Saints with a coach of that calibre previously. But several months back, they sold the business to Fareham based Lucketts Coaches. I have no idea why they lost the contract to a Liverpool based company. But serve them right for supplying a team coach to the Skates and also having an away coach for Man Utd supporters in the region.
Toomer Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Coliseum used to have the contract and managed to supply Saints with a coach of that calibre previously. But several months back, they sold the business to Fareham based Lucketts Coaches. I have no idea why they lost the contract to a Liverpool based company. But serve them right for supplying a team coach to the Skates and also having an away coach for Man Utd supporters in the region. I was talking to one of the Pitter brothers about six months before they decided to sell the company to Lucketts, he told me that NC was trying to force their hand into buying a coach of this standard and to be used only by SFC, he said they could not justify the outlay for a coach that would be sat around a lot of the time.
SNSUN Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 The front tyres are very far back. Good job MLT doesn't play for us anymore, if he stood on those steps, the back end of the coach would be in the air. Lovely though innit. I'd love to have a peek inside...
Scoobysaint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Sure ours is more plush but even this old one looks sweet inside.
Bourno Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I suspect they have leased rather than purchased outright.
Convict Colony Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I think our coach looks pimp, for me the signing of the day.
georgeweahscousin Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Was I the only one who thought we had sacked MoPo on first glance at the tweet.....
SNSUN Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Perhaps Wanyama saw the massive, large, long, black, heavy, tubular coach in our car park and felt more at home. Just wonderin'...
Cascadia Saint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Badge is wonky It'll look straight going down those austrian mountain roads...
Andre Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Was I the only one who thought we had sacked MoPo on first glance at the tweet..... That was my initial thought as well, was a bit of a fright!
SW5 SAINT Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Thats the end of any rumours regarding a new badge!
Gambol2K9 Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Maybe Wanyama was sold on the vision of our new bus and after coming into the building with a smile on his face, he decided he wanted to be onboard.
Under Weststand Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 That just oozes class. Looks a really nice piece of kit.
Crab Lungs Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 I know all's fair in love and war and business, and I've no doubt Saints had their sound reasons for doing this. But Ellison's is a Merseyside company and this is a bit of a slap in the face for local businesses. Please don't tell me you're upset the coach contract didn't go to a local business. Please
VectisSaint Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Shame they didn't get a personalised plate though, will look crap in 6 months or so. NIC 1 maybe.
dubai_phil Posted 11 July, 2013 Posted 11 July, 2013 Have they done a full Due Dilligence on the driver?
diggers Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 I happen to have the displeasure of knowing Steve Luckett and a most objectionable person he is too, so glad they lost the contract. When we were at wembley for the JPT I asked him about running a coach and the Skate **** didn't want to know. Should never give SFC business to out'n'out Skates.
Saints4Prem Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 Shame they didn't get a personalised plate though, will look crap in 6 months or so. NIC 1 maybe. I saw an identical coach at Staplewood this morning and it has a personal plate. Unfortunately not an SFC one though but I have one for sale if they need it !
Pilchards Posted 12 July, 2013 Posted 12 July, 2013 Loads of small red lights on the inside steps leading up to the main platform which is decked in COYR all the way up the centre. The best coach any player will ever step on.
September Saint Posted 13 July, 2013 Posted 13 July, 2013 Have they done a full Due Dilligence on the driver? I'll get you, Dubai_phil Are all the seats at the front reserved for disabled players?
