Horton Heath Saint Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 This could be our most exciting season since Keegan days, can we step up to those days. 'Would really love it!!' What do you think?
pangy Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 A lot of pressure on the whole club to succeed,I am excited for the season but cautious at the same time
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 This could be our most exciting season since Keegan days, can we step up to those days. 'Would really love it!!' What do you think? Keegan left Saints in 1982, Saints had their highest ever league finish in 1984.
Smirking_Saint Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 Keegan left Saints in 1982, Saints had their highest ever league finish in 1984. Wow.......
Toadhall Saint Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 Keegan left Saints in 1982, Saints had their highest ever league finish in 1984. Ah halcyon days. Had to be one of the best seasons I can remember.
Olallana Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 Keegan left Saints in 1982, Saints had their highest ever league finish in 1984. You dont know what he meant by exciting, maybe it wasn´t based on results. You´ve just been MLG'ed....
SNSUN Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 I was a wee bonny bairn back in the early 80's. My favourite season was the League One promotion season, winning most of the time, going to Wembley, spending large sums of money in League One terms. But then I'm a bit odd - my second favourite season was the Souness season 96-97, and we hardly won at all.
saint_jas Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 Keegan was the reason I have supported Saints, never lived in Southampton either. But when he signed for them, that was it for me, loved him as a player (even if I was a bit young) Saints all the way.
Stud mark of doom Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 This could be our most exciting season since Keegan days, can we step up to those days. 'Would really love it!!' What do you think? Think we were top for about three months when KK was here. That will be going some to replicate. Have we been top since - other than very early season c88/89?
Turkish Posted 10 July, 2013 Posted 10 July, 2013 89/90 was a pretty exciting season, 4-2-4 for some of it, Le Tiss, Shearer and Wallace, loads of goals and some really memorable performances. 4-1 v Liverpool the stand out, honourable mentions to 4-1 v Norwich and the best hatrick you'll ever see, 4-1 away at QPR and 6-3 at home to Luton.

Totally agree. Esp that hat trick. Pretty sure I still have that on video...
