LGTL Posted 20 August, 2013 Share Posted 20 August, 2013 If it doesn't flatter Osvaldo I wonder why our fat middle aged fans think they look good in them?
pap Posted 20 August, 2013 Share Posted 20 August, 2013 Couldn't be bothered to read all the way through to see if this had been said before but if it has, sorry......... Does anyone think that Adkins could have attracted Osvaldo here, and he certainly couldn't have held his own with him in game of football tennis in the way that Pochettino did in the video. Nice man that Adkins was, the slightly nerdish image couldn't compete with Poch in terms of gaining respect from professional footballers. At the start of last season, Alan Nixon suggested that we were up for managerial upheaval, stating that the ambitions of Cortese and Adkins were very far apart. That, more than anything, explains our bizarre transfer window last summer. I don't think Adkins would have ever been able to secure the likes of Osvaldo within the timeframe we've managed under Pochettino. I'm not even sure he'd have managed it if he'd survived a couple of seasons in the Premier League.
