whizzpop Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 We were on SKY more in League 1! Strange selection of matches, and strange amount of games for the first half. How does that compare to others?
Sour Mash Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 If the Chelsea game has moved to the 1st Dec, does that mean that the Aston Villa game will move as well? It will be moved to the Weds, but a lot of Prem games seem to get moved from the Tues to the Weds anyway.
JRM Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 excellent news hardly moved at all. we're clearly not attractive to tv which is good for the match going fan. I think we'll be on less than the minimum again.
Sour Mash Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 Surprised the club didn't wait a couple more days before announcing it's price categorys for games, would make sense to have the Fulham game as a "Cat C" now.

Le Timmier Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 Slow day in work so I've just totted up the number of televised games for each club. We really don't float broadcasters boats much: Chelsea 10 Liverpool 9 Man City 9 Man U 9 Arsenal 8 Spurs 8 Newcastle 7 Palace 5 Everton 5 Sunderland 5 Villa 4 Fulham 4 Norwich 4 Swansea 4 Wet Spam 4 Cardiff 3 Hull 3 SAINTS 3 Stoke 3 West Brom 3 Not necessarily a bad thing given our televised record! Sour Mash Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 1 reason - Holloway Could well be, although can't think they'll be that many people that tune in to see his 2 minute interview at the end. COuld also be that Sky expect them to be high scoring games and a few thrashings which is always entertaining to watch.
Le Timmier Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 1 reason - Holloway Sunderland have 5 games to our 3 too, so maybe it is linked in some part to both them & Palace them having managers who are prone to wacky antics. Sunderland were awful to watch for much of last season!
VectisSaint Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 1 reason - Holloway More likely reason is to guarantee goals, at least at one end
Minty Posted 11 July, 2013 Share Posted 11 July, 2013 It wouldn't surprise me if some of the games chosen were mainly on the basis of it being one of the big 4 or 5, and who they happened to be playing was coincidence.

Sour Mash Posted 29 July, 2013 Share Posted 29 July, 2013 Just a sort related point to all this that might affect a few people, Swansea at home at the start of October will be moved to the Sunday if they progress through to the group stages of the Europa League.
