Banega, he looks like tevez's better looking brother, can score goals from midfield and is creative and solid at defending as any self respecting argie should be. 2 others whilst great great potential Banega has this season proved his excellence in La Liga, something which has a higher % chance of transposing his talent straight away into the premier league in my opinion more so than someone from the brazilian/scottish leagues.

All 3.

Ok Bueno.

Oh all right then Damiao. As the statement of intent would be massive and we'd have a current Brazilian international. I can't help but think he won't join though because of the World Cup next year. Not having European football will hinder us in signings a bit imo.

I reckon its actually a plus - he's basically guaranteed to make the world cup squad, so there is less pressure on him to be at a high-profile club to stake his claim. In principle, he can take a longer-term view of which club best suits him.

Any of them would be brilliant. If pushed I reckon Wanyama would be a great purchase as he might be with us longer term than the others, and steady group of players seems to have worked so well for us since L1

And to think I was hoping we might get Liam Trotter last year!

Anyone would of course be brilliant.

Short term I think Banega would give us something that we dont have from CM position and he would help us tremendously in the set pieces.

Long term Wanyama is probably the better "business" cause I think his alue would only increase in the coming years and might be the better player in 3-4 yrs compared to Banega....

Tough choice really so to make it all easier, bring them both in :)

(temporarily blind and read the OP to choose Wanyama or Banega)

Damiao without a shadow of a doubt!

We need goals, and lots of them. With only slightly better finishing we would of easily, and I mean EASILY, finished 8th last year.

For me it is the only part of our game that needs MAJOR improvement. In every other department we are solid and do not necessarily need strengthening provided we keep our best players. GK, defence & midfield are all already top half material IMO.

From the little I've seen of all three, I think I would have to say Damiao, although it's a toughie. Looks like a more mobile Lambert and we were crying out for better finishing at the end of last season. Also think CM is a position we're already pretty strong in whereas we lack depth up front.

I would love to see Banega at St Mary's but my mates here who follow Valencia warned me that he is top class BUT can be inconsistent too.... A trait that is always well accepted on TSW.

I think the same has been said of Damaio , and of course Wanyama doesn't really have to test himself week in, week out because of the standard of opposition (or so I keep reading). Perhaps none of them are good enough for us !!

MLT also was inconsistent over much of his career.

Of the three, I feel Banega might offer us more, attacking passing guile, dead balls, defensive duties. Although that is balanced by a gut feeling that he is also more likely to throw a strop.

Having watched Wanyama for Celtic it would have to be him for me , IMO his potential is enormous and he could take the PL by storm next season. He is such a versatile player , Strong running defensive and offensive midfielder who is capable of getting on the end of corners for goals, also plays a great game at centre half if needed. For me a player in the mould of Toure or Viera. Still very young and a bit raw but will be a great player in a year or two.

I am also happy to see either or both of the other two sign for us.

Damiao then Banega then Wanyama for me! Although perming any two from three would be just great!

I agree with this. Firstly, we need more striking options as we are more than a little threadbare up front. Secondly, more creation from midfield is needed ( Lallana was too inconsistent last season) as was illustrated by the final couple of months of the season. Thirdly, our central midfield group are very strong and more than capable of holding their own against teams in the EPL, however Wanyama is an exciting talent and would give us exceptional cover in that position.

Sod it, lets have all three. What an amazing transfer window this would be if they all materialise!

My understanding is that Wanyama has already signed and is in the bag, they're just holding off announcing. So on that basis I will select Damiao and we'll deffo get two of the three, happy days.

Based on today's news it would appear you are spouting a crock of baloney!

Top priority should be a pacy quality striker so Damiao for me.

After that I'd go for Banega as we already have 2 decent DMs. We could do with a decent box to box, creative, midfield general and Banega seems to fit the bill.

If that makes me sound like I'd be disappointed with Wanyama I wouldn't - he looks like a class act in the making.

TBH I'd be delighted with any of them, they all look top quality and players that I can barely believe we are in for.

I have no idea not seen any of them play, it is a worry taking anbody out of Scottish football as the standard is so poor it is very hard to judge how good they are.

Ramirez was not the instant sensation we had all hoped for undoubted talent but he was not 12m worth he may go on to be brilliant this season hope so but not counting my chickens.

I would agree that we need a striker with pace that can finish however it would be nice to have somebody with some prem experience Remy from QPR would be a great signing or lukaku at least you know that can score goals in the prem.
