Is July awesome for sport ?

Don't get me wrong I can't wait until the footy is back but as we are in limbo between seasons your hear the familiar chorus of nothing happening, "gonna be so boring" etc etc.

 

However I am looking at my weekend "diary" and I realise the amount of awesome sport is on is unbelievable and we still have the Ashes coming up.

 

Just looking at today:

 

Lions v Convicts

F1 Qualifying

Tour de France - 1st Mountain stage :-)

Wimbledon - Women's final

Super rugby - All games

 

Maybe I'm just a really sad sport lover but I am scheduling my day around being able to watch this stuff and the missus is about to head to OZ for 3 weeks so TDF will be daily as well.

 

Every year I think that July is gonna be quiet and then am pleasantly surprised by the volume of quality sport, what are you guys watching ?

Brilliant for me, I love most sports, Ashes, Wimbledon, Tour this month is sweet!

Do I miss football? Yes but not as much as I used to, I appreciate far more sports now than before.

Football would do well to not be so complacent and taking the **** out of fans for shirts, shifting fixtures etc. It's surprising how much other quality entertainment is out there when the scales fall from the eyes......
