thorpie the sinner Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 I know its small potatoes and Talksport, but I have heard two separate words of praise over the past 2 days! Yesterday, Malky Mackay was saying how good Jay was, best in championship in a mile and everyone knew it! Today Brad Friedl mentioned Southampton as being a fantastic side who pushed Spurs all the way last season and were very tough to beat. Small potatoes maybe, but its nice to get the plaudits especially when I feel they are well deserved! Now where's Wanyama??
Victor Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Let's hope we don't get too high a profile or other clubs might start taking our youth products.
Wes Tender Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Let's hope we don't get too high a profile or other clubs might start taking our youth products. Surely the opposite is the case, that the higher profile we become, the less likelihood there is that other clubs will believe they have a chance of pinching our best youth products and indeed the less inclined those youngsters will be towards having their heads turned by other teams.
Orange Peels Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Let's hope we don't get too high a profile or other clubs might start taking our youth products. Or will WE start taking other teams youth products?

Cardiff tried to sign JRod last summer and we had to outbid them to get him. So unsurprising big Malky still rates him.
Toon Saint Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 I noticed that the press have largely replaced the negative adjective "struggling" from last season, with the more positive "ambitious" to describe us now. Oh yeah!

The point I was trying to make (with a rather poor attempt at irony, admittedly) has clearly gone over your head.
