Block 18 Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 Should and could the Saints offer to hold a fund raising game for Aldershot who are on the brink of liquidation? We did it for Bournmouth a few years back when WGS took his side to Dean Court but we got no thanks from the Bompey. Would the Shots be appeciative or would it be history repeating its self with no gratitude shown for the gesture. What do you think, should Premiereship Saints help out a local team in difficulty, your thoughts please.
Toomer Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 I would not mind if we did, not sure if Nicky Banger has been made redundant as he is/was at Aldershot as commercial manager.
UpweySaint Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 No reason why not or, should it not be feasable, a whip round at the stadium over the next few months could be a go-er ...
Colinjb Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 No reason why not or, should it not be feasable, a whip round at the stadium over the next few months could be a go-er ... May be a little late by then. It would be good if something could be done for the Shots.
UpweySaint Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 May be a little late by then. It would be good if something could be done for the Shots. Perhaps, hope not! If they manage to keep ticking over them im sure a good number of our fans would dig deep. Over a few games you could easily achieve 50 to 100k conservatively.
ericb Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 Not sure if hants police would want it. Their fans have a bit of a love in with skates, and as well as their own rep some used to travel with skates and don't exactly like us
LGTL Posted 4 July, 2013 Posted 4 July, 2013 I remember them attempting to kick off at Waterloo a few years ago. Don't think they are keen on us.
