they'd be less visible, I bet you could find some study somewhere or other that proves that stripes make you less visible, I mean you don't see many Zebras or Tigers in Above Bar do you, now if they were all red you'd probably spot them better.

It might just be a weird rendering effect but they don't look very round to me.

We play with one of this and I think they make an average player better than they are by the fly of the boot and swerve and dip all over the shop, in short a bit of a con, there is no way you could a mitre delta like these modern days balls, they ping everywhere.
