Gemmel Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Big new poster of the gold crest On the side of St Mary's with a strap line of "it's Happening". Any idea on what is actually happening............
Made in Southampton Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 New posters are going up. That's what's happening.
Matthew Le God Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Erasing our history. Utter nonsense. Talk us through how history is being "erased".
Batman Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 (edited) Utter nonsense. Talk us through how history is being "erased". dont. he is posting for bites. much like his defiant boycott he is on (that does not happen anymore, if it ever started) its posting for effect Edited 1 July, 2013 by Batman
hypochondriac Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 dont. he is posting for bites. much like his defiant boycott he is on (that does not happen anymore) its posting for effect Qpr at home was my last game and that was because I was given a ticket. Haven't been since.
Wurzel Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Erasing our history. History is in the past. What's happening now is the present. Whilst "the now" should not ignore "the past", "now" is also creating more history for the future.
northam soul Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 The end of the world, well you would think so reading this place.
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Utter nonsense. Talk us through how history is being "erased". Is it the train picture?
Essruu Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 There is no future with out history. Utter nonsense. If a new club was formed today it would have a future, but no history.
Tamesaint Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Qpr at home was my last game and that was because I was given a ticket. Haven't been since. Well that's something to be proud of - not!!
pap Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Qpr at home was my last game and that was because I was given a ticket. Haven't been since. So in what sense do you actually support the Saints?
Dig Dig Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Qpr at home was my last game and that was because I was given a ticket. Haven't been since. Top boycott that. Will you be going next season? (free ticket permitting I assume?)
hypochondriac Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 So in what sense do you actually support the Saints? Season ticket in two out of the last five years, watched every game last season and cheer loudly when I'm in attendance
Snopper Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Whilst history may be a thing of the past I still can`t see it happening myself, to be fair. Hth.
pap Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Season ticket in two out of the last five years, watched every game last season and cheer loudly when I'm in attendance But not anymore, right? You are boycotting them.
red&white56 Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 New posters are going up. That's what's happening. :D
itchen Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 Utter nonsense. Talk us through how history is being "erased".ß He liked the old posters. No shame in that.
The9 Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 When I drove past on Friday night and I saw this lot going up, I though... it's nice to know that we're "happening", I could definitely do with my club being rebranded with a phrase that's 20 years out of date. Are we also "hip"? This stuff is going to look pretty frigging stupid if we don't at least finish in the top half, and God is gold on red an ugly combination full stop.
sussexsaint Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 God is gold on red an ugly combination full stop. Perhaps this is what we are aiming for , red white and gold .
kwsaint Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 I'm actually in the know about this and can tell you for a fact that they are installing these:
The9 Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 That's taken care of the white-hankie waving protests then. Cunning.
JRM Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 the message here is clearly "re-branding is happening whether the fans like it or not"
Turkish Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 I'm actually in the know about this and can tell you for a fact that they are installing these: This will improve my match day experience no end as well as the low power consumption meaning they are also environmentally friendly. It seems Cortese has all angles covered here in what can only enrich the way we support our club as well as protecting the environment.

Dig Dig Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 the message here is clearly "re-branding is happening whether the fans like it or not" He definitely should have taken a fan base pulse before agreeing a deal on these dyson air blades. World Dryer Corporation hand dryers have been synomous with saints since 1972 and this is another example of Cortese ****ing all over our history and tradition in the name of "progress". Success, but at what cost?

Dig Dig Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 *Predicts 'outrage' from those that prefer paper towels.* Who could blame them? Your average fan doesn't even want to wash their hands. Another example of modern football becoming more sanitised in what is no doubt another ploy in making us global brand.
sotonist Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 I'm actually in the know about this and can tell you for a fact that they are installing these: it it just me or does that look like ronnie o'sullivan peeking over a wall?
Alejam Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 New entrance by the ticket office of course. Oh and Champions League

Griffo Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 It looks ridiculous. We're trying to act as if we're a huge club pushing for the title with all the gold and fancy phrases. We're f*cking Southampton. The season ticket pack is also embarrassing. We lead not follow or whatever b*llocks it was. Is that right? Then why have we followed the same kit as Bristol City?

I have no idea. I am loving the positivity coming from the club. All good.
CB Fry Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 *Predicts 'outrage' from those that prefer paper towels.* Either you accept Dyson hand dryers or we might as well just have Lowe back. Or Michael Wilde. Or something. Happy now?
latter day saint Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 is this the fella responsible for the re-branding ?

Jeff Le Taxi Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 http://****london.co.uk/ironic-hand-dryer-liverpool-st-station/ BOUND to happen first game of the season...
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 1 July, 2013 Posted 1 July, 2013 I have a theory as to why this hand dryer may be broken. One friday night I was fortunate/unfortunate enough to witness a city worker, who had clearly over achieved on the alcohol front, unbelievably manage to mistake one of these Dyson hand dryers for a urinal. It’s difficult to tell who was more surprised at the time, the guy who mistakenly subjected his penis to an intense blast of high pressured air or the 6 or 7 other people who were suddenly enveloped in a fine mist of urine. Copy and paste its easier!
