The Echo get most of their stories from here and similar websites so must not be used to open a new thread. Isnt one of their "reporters" Dan Kerins who used to/still does post on here. Get up in morning scour football websites, find Saints related gossip , file as a story. Start story with "The Echo believes" , "rumours abound" etc or end headline with question mark i.e." Beckham to sign ?"

Which website have they taken this from? Seems a fair and genuine story to me.

Utter b******s. no chance we would be looking to loan him out. A case of the echo trying to desperately drum up some sales.
If they were so desperate to drum up sales I think they'd have come up with a slightly more interesting story than this.

Of course, this story is absolutely nothing like that. But then you knew that. Troll.

The Echo is correct, Solskjaer asked if he wanted to join Molde on loan but Forren said no and is insisting on fighting for a place in the Southampton first eleven next season. I'm from Norway myself and surprisingly i met Forren at a Tippeliga match last sunday, Sandnes Ulf vs Sogndal. I think he's good friends with one of the Sandnes Ulf players. He's a really nice guy, I took a picture with him and he said himself that he was going to fight for a place on the team next year. Since I'm Norwegian i'm really hoping he can prove himself. Was a class act here in Norway, only thing he might have missed was speed, which is something i presume he has worked on since he came here.

I didn't miss any posts. You denied knowing who I was the last time you bought this up before you were outed in humiliating fashion.

What a scoop from the echo that will sell them shed loads! Ha you are a joke.

This guy only has about 120odd posts, yet you're still so aggressive towards him for saying not that much. Either you've got previous with everybody on this forum, or you're just an angry little fellow.

Do you have some issues from your past that you need sorting? Maybe you've trouble finding friends/a girlfriend? Whatever is wrong pal I hope you can get through it.

Do you honestly believe anyone would buy a newspaper based on a story about a player who has never started a game for us going out on loan??!!

thanks for the post that's an interesting first hand account and shows up Manji's pathetic know nothing anti-echo agenda. Kerins is a web editor not a sports reporter.

I'm going to see Bergen play in a couple of weeks will keep an eye out for Claus heard he turns up at games there ?

Jeez, there are some touchy posters on here.

All I'm suggesting is that there are probably a few people out there willing to buy the paper if there is a story/ scoop which is Saints related. The echo will know this and would try and produce/ report/ fabricate a story to feed people's hunger for SFC news.

I think it is "touchiness" from the same old people with the same old guff about how everything any paper says about Saints is made up.

Even a completely anodyne and dull story about a player who has never played for us, backed up with with direct, specific quotes.

Just tedious.

Am I wrong, have Cortese's signing's in the main been crap?

Yes they have.

Lambert - crap

Cork - crap

Fonte - crap

Richardson - crap

harding - crap

sharp - crap

Boruc - crap

all crap. Its amazing how we ever got promoted twice in a row and stayed up. The other teams must be REALLY REALLY bad

what is wrong with you lot?

give yourselves a break and stop bickering amongst each other.

unless of course, you actually KNOW who batman is, then, carry on.

but seriously, everyone has an opinion, not everyone's is as good as the one we hold dear. let them get on with it without being so touchy. just point out "bol locks" or something, and carry on. no need to reply to that! deal with it, i don't know any of your real id's, but i'm guessing you are grown ups.

Nice forum this. Very nice. Lots of people united by their common love of their club coming together to share the joy.

Oh, err, no, that should read to abuse each other behind the anonymity of their computer. jeez. Get Lives. Bye.

Lol, this thread nicely sums up the reason I rarely post on here. I visit the forum everyday, its great for keeping up to date with news, but not really much point expressing any opinions, so much negativity. Hey, I even remember getting shot down in one of my first posts by MLG for using the term Irony wrong apparently. Get a life FFS.

Well fun as the usual SWF internecine warfare is, and notwithstanding the (somewhat dubious) 'signed for next season' argument, it just can't be a good sign that this player - a full international in the prime of his career - hasn't played a single minute for this club yet can it? Patience is a virtue of course but playing careers are short, so if he can't persuade the manager to select him before too long then he might be well advised to take any offered loan deal that comes his way.

I've seen on here apparently sensible fans arguing that the practice of clubs signing players with little (or no) meaningful input from their managers is the progressive modern way. Ummm ... I say if you are going employ a man to do a job of work then you better let him use the tools he's happy with or expect more situations like this one to arise in future.

Three posts about a topic/article, including a detailed report from a meeting with the player.

And 35 posts of the usual suspects comparing the dimensions of their undersized reproductive organs.

Never in the field of human trolling have so few hacked off so many

Add Clyne, Rodriguez to the list as well. I am sure we did this exact thing before on a previous thread.

i would try not to think about mayuka, ramirez + forrens alpine. That's what i do. Our recent transfer activity is Clyne + Cork + Boruc imo.

Was it Forrens that rejected loan, or was it club? I mean was club wanting to ship him out?

Our transfer activity is a complete shambles. Yes, we've picked up the likes of SRL, but that was now several years ago.

Our more recent activity - Mayuka, Ramirez, Forren - is looking less than impressive.

Clyne, Yoshida and Cork have been particularly poor I agree.

Nope, Forren was last man in, and the only transfer to interrupt that sequence of 3 strange transfers in my recollection was Boruc.

I'm not sure paying top money works for clubs like Saints. You just end up with a player who has been sold by his club because we offered most, but who feels he should be playing Champions league somewhere. Our best signings have been in the lower leagues when we were the big fish there, or players with a point to prove. I'd be happier signing up the Championship players of the season than an import deal driven by $$$.
