dubai_phil Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Can we claim money for our Image Rights or something?
thorpie the sinner Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Oh dear, very unhappy chairman methinks! Well i like the darn thing!
Saint Charlie Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Shows how low a career in 'journalism' has really become.
dubai_phil Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 You know now that NC is gonna set the Dogs of War on us. We're all gonna be Chorley'd for moaning. Horses Head on way to Chez Granty as well I've heard.
trousers Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Haha! Wonder who pointed him in our direction. A cynical conspiracy theorist might suggest that the paper contacted an admin on here and asked if they could canvas opinion by starting a new thread with a poll. Luckily I don't think we have anyone on here who would think such a thing.
BILLY Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2349676/Southampton-new-2013-14-home-kit-leaked--fans-upset.html Already posted that on the "Do you like the shirt" thread a while ago .....................
trousers Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Can we claim money for our Image Rights or something? And not pay tax on it?
ericofarabia Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Who's comments made the article then? Sadly mine didn't .... don't know why. ericofarabia What a steaming pile of wombat do's. Is this some sort of sick attempt to make last years steaming pile of crap look half decent after all? And as for the Gold - I don't really know where to start. Intrigued to see how it'll stand up to a few washes. Fools Gold. The club can most certainly stick it where the sun don't shine.
VectisSaint Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Whoever's size 9s appear in the 2 photos should look out for an equine delivery soon if this turns out to be the real kit. Have to say it looks crap, and that's nothing to do with the lack of stripes which is why I'm still not convinced this is it. Quality appears to be rubbish, especially compared with last season's shirts. So Liverpool last year, Arsenal next, thank feck we didn't copy Chelski there would have been real fury.
Andre Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Pretty lazy journalism taking our poll and not doing anything themselves.
Mikey88 Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 We've made it big time! Might need to get Wanyama's agents number
supersonic Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 No stripes again? Compared to when? Only the 'sash' year we haven't had stripes under NC
bpsaint Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 The pictures in that article just reminded me how class our Championship promotion shirt was.
simo Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Just wondering who the article is written by ? Isnt Victor's agent associated with the mail or did I make that up ?
Deano6 Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Yes, they should have registered here, worked their way up to admin and then started their own separate poll, asking the same thing.
simo Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 On another note thats 3 home kits in 3 years , are we being mugged off ?
St Marco Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 They could of at least got the % right. It is a lot higher then 39%! But it is good to see the forum making it to the bigtime. Just needs the usual suspects to tell us how embarrassing we all are
Colinjb Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 They could of at least got the % right. It is a lot higher then 39%! But it is good to see the forum making it to the bigtime. Just needs the usual suspects to tell us how embarrassing we all are Now the forum has sold out they won't be back.
Alain Perrin Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Change........ Arghhhhh, run for the hills... FWIW I quite like it. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
CB Fry Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 No stripes again? Compared to when? Only the 'sash' year we haven't had stripes under NC Compared to its our traditional kit. It's hard to believe, I know, but there was a Southampton Football Club before Nicola Cortese arrived.
Gingeletiss Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 I hope you are all wrong about the shirt, and it is something completely different, then the Fail will end up with egg on their collective faces. and we get to start a new thread saying we knew it all along, and what a crap be of lazy journalism.
georgeweahscousin Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Bedwetting the official bedwetting newspaper! Marvellous!
Grey Crab Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Hello Daily Mail! If you are reading this, I think that anyone who works for your newspaper is a c*nt. Wow! Remember when you started out in journalism, hoping to write brilliant Pullitzer-winning exposés of corruption. And now you are working for that nasty, malicious little rag with the sole purpose of scary old grannies with ridiculous lies. What happened? Where did it all go wrong? When did your soul die? Maybe you should go home and have a little think about life.
peacey Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Off topic, but here is a good article I have found about Saints being perhaps the surprise package next season-Worth a read. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1686586-why-southampton-could-be-the-premier-leagues-surprise-package-next-season Ps didn't start a new thread because I didn't think it warranted it.
stardustonmyfeet Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Hello Daily Mail. Yes, our kit is **** this year. Now **** off and stick to plagiarising stories from Reddit.
Crazy Diamond Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 I'd only be fussed if it made it into print. Online doesn't mean an awful lot.
Chez Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Haha! Wonder who pointed him in our direction. Was it the club to help create `a buzz' before the launch of a new striped kit?
Colinjb Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 Was it the club to help create `a buzz' before the launch of a new striped kit? It is said there is no such thing as bad publicity..... I doubt Nicola agrees with that somehow....
LostBoys Posted 27 June, 2013 Posted 27 June, 2013 I am furious are you? I was going to wait until tomorrow morning.
Saint_Donovan Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 It was my mate who leaked the shirt on twitter, the daily mail and the club managed to get his mobile number which is quite scary!! The club made him remove it from twitter and the daily mail want a quote for their story.
Barry the Badger Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 It was my mate who leaked the shirt on twitter, the daily mail and the club managed to get his mobile number which is quite scary!! The club made him remove it from twitter and the daily mail want a quote for their story. How did he get hold of the shirt?
Cascadia Saint Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 How did he get hold of the shirt? He grabbed it by those big flappy white arm bands. Probably.
stevegrant Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 I'd only be fussed if it made it into print. Online doesn't mean an awful lot. Really? The Daily Mail makes much more revenue from its website than it does from selling papers.
Bucks Saint Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 I am outraged that they are reporting our outrage. Its outrageous.
Saint_Donovan Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 How did he get hold of the shirt? Courier company that was holding them pending delivery to the stores
Pugwash Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 Courier company that was holding them pending delivery to the stores Last job they'll get from SFC..
JRM Posted 28 June, 2013 Posted 28 June, 2013 ha what happened when the club called him up ? was Nicola on the other end going mental ? does your mate have a season ticket ? wouldn't be surprised if he gets the Illingsworth treatment.
