Strange that the only 2 clubs that Saints seem to have dealings with (Cagliari and Bologna) are the only 2 top flight Italian clubs that were not raided. Just a coincidence no doubt.

On the other hand, wasn´t Cagliaris chairman in prison already? (dont know what for, but still)

it was over the rebuilding of the stadium that they play in . Wanted to stay in prison until proved innocent. However he has been banned from attending the club for 4 months on account of a couple of other things as well. Selling tickets for a match that the Italian Federation had decreed to be played behind closed doors and illegal payments to agents. The rest are under investigation for much more serious stuff like money laundering and tax evasion.

Let us not forget the close ties between our chairman and Silvio Berlusconi. A link so close Cortese was close to joining Belusconi at Milan and who's bank affairs at Credit Suisse were handled by Nicola.

A snide observation that undoubtedly you'll have concrete proof of?

Cortese almost joined Milan or was reported to be on the verge of doing so in the media when Pardew was manager. If you doubt what I posted why don't you try making use of Google. Plenty to be found. Cortese had a life prior to appearing on the Saints scene. Did you never question what he did before? He didn't learn being so shrewd by twiddling his thumbs

Does anyone have a full list?

Try La Stampa, I was reading it in a bar earlier. No names associated with Saints, and I didn't read the article thoroughly or quite understand the mechanism of how they played about with money, but they noted it was mainly Agentinian, Mexican and (??) Chilean clubs [and ahgents] involved.

Agents who didn't want to 'play' were dismissed..

Very little if any evidence to link Cortese with Berlusconi in fact. Other than tittle tattle on forums there is remarkably little to show they even knew each other. Indeed when Milan supposedly came looking for Cortese when we were in League One it was not Silvio who contacted him but a representative from the Northern League Party. If they were friends or even acquaintances would not SB have contacted the man himself? When he was working at the Swiss Bank his office had many clients in top realms of sport including SB.

I think you are on at best shaky ground Art, but if you want to believe gossip and rumour that abounds on forum such as these go ahead if it suits your agenda. Just watch out for the horse heads.
