Allan Simonsen Dies at LM24

Saw the accident earlier on. Had a big crash into the barriers earlier on (it was on Lap 3) and has died from his injuries.

 

He appeared to loose control of his Aston Martin and crashed heavily. Was quite a few laps under the safety car as a result.

 

Very sad news.

Been watching live and was shocked at the news. it was a heavy shunt but it didn't look THAT bad. Then again I thought the same about Dale Earnhardt's crash.

I've been at Le Mans the last few days & can confirm I had nothing to do with causing this crash! As shaggy once said, it wasn't me!
