Looking around on twitter it seems like it´s mostly Liverpool fans that are disappointed they dont get him.

Some of them think they should go for Schneiderlin as soon as Wanyama is officially announced.

Good luck on that scousers! :)

When this goes through, that will be £21m spent already. Still over a month left to go yet and another 1/2 players to join. Judging by rumours, we're looking to spend between £15m - £20m on a striker so that'll instantly top it over the £35m - £40m mark. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

@bbclovefootball: The Kenya FA have jumped the gun a little and congratulated Victor Wanyama on signing for Southampton - despite the deal not being done yet!

They jumped the gun a bit more than that in fact: http://www.scotsman.com/the-scotsman/sport/football/victor-wanyama-will-leave-celtic-say-kenyan-fa-1-2762307

Nice to know we might be 'one of the big two clubs in the world', lol...

It´s a new era as Saints fan, isn´t it? :)

And I think there is at least two more coming in including a striker so it might finish off at £45-50m even....

ICIT! (In Cortese I trust)

The Football Kenya Federation has congratulated Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama on moving to Southampton from Celtic, even though a deal for the 22-year-old has not been confirmed by either club. BBC Sport understands that the transfer is poised to go ahead in the next 48 hours.

Indeed, lets just hope MP can mould them into a functioning team and we dont get Chelsea- / Mancity-type histrionics..

The work is just beginning.

Saw a celtic supporting mate of mine today who was gutted. Said he's SO good and will be worth twice what we're about to pay for him in a few years.

careful we all know the last player this lot on here said that about! that said he looks leagues ahead of ramirez in terms of strength on the ball so maybe he can supply the ball to ramirez so he doesn't have to do any of the silly over complicated showboating stuff and can concentrate on what hes good at maybe we will see a different player!

What's this B list thread?

I just broke this story on the muppet show.

You main boarders need to keep up.

to be honest i don't really come on main board for transfer news anymore, muppet shows is where you get the latest exclusives

Squad travelling away on Friday so hopefully it will be done before then.

We will get this wrapped up before then no doubt as things such as VO2 testing and other pre season testing will need to be done on him before they go away. Expect announcement tonight or early tomorrow morning I think. SuperSonic did say yesterday that he heard NC saying something about "being there about 8" so maybe 8 o'clock tonight for an announcement at 9? Who knows?

Whilst I'm obviously happy that Wanyama is on the cusp of signing I still don;t see this as the one signing that will turn the heads of the rest of the premier league. This is more of an eyebrow raiser IMO. Someone like Damiao, Osvaldo or Banega would be a head turner...

Do they have an equivalent thread on the Celtic forum? I know there's the B-list one with MLG on, but I wanna read the A list one.

Just been on SSN

"Victor Wanyama is in London ahead of a £10m move to Southampton. He will undergo a medical within 24 hours."

Quick. Everyone take their positions on the bridges over the M3.... cameras and earlobe charts at the ready....

I'm not massive worried bout turning prem heads tbh, unless it's John Terry and I'm turning his head through plate glass window.

Nah, I think Damiao would be a head turner, Osvaldo a double take and Banega an ear wiggler.
