Some dude on Twitter (yeah, I know) is saying its a done deal and announcement imminent

He's probably read it on here.

As for Luke Shaw fans, what a terrible waste of time and energy. I'm a fan of Luke Shaw, but I'm not going to start a bloody Twitter account about it.

If he signs I sincerely hope it's to play centre half. Unless we have a spare £15mil for a proper good one...

Make it happen.

Why would we play him at centre back? He can only play there like Fox and Cork can - only if we really need him to. He's much better higher up the pitch than that.

This guy would be our Toure, play him anywhere through the middle and he'll be quality. Fast, powerful, and huge. Would be a great cab considering we push up under MP. But even better at brining it forward from midfield.

Have you seen much of Wanyama? He strolls through games at centre half. To even put Fox (at centre half!) in the same sentence as VW is a joke. However, not sure I'd be looking to replace Cork or Morgan so if he's not playing at the back I'm not sure where he fits in

We have 5 good options at centre back, if we buy Wanyama it will not be to play there.

We have only 2 defensive midfield options. If Cork or Morgan is injured we have to try to shoehorn JWP or Davis into the position. Wanyama is being targetted to add competition to this position. My guess is Cork would initially give way. That's not to say Vork won't get game time, he'd almost certainly be on the bench and get plenty of starts.

Wanyama is not centre back.

I wouldn't say we have 5 'good' options at CB but we are reasonably well covered there. In general though, I agree with this post and I can see the midfield players being rotated, averaging maybe 70 mins a game, so they can go out full steam (every minute) executing MP's pressing game.

Wanyama and Cork sitting just in front of the defence like Brazil have their DM pairing, with Schneiderlin playing just ahead with more of a "free role". Rodriguez and Lallana playing slightly narrower in a more Attacking Midfield role than as Wingers.

DM is his natural position, so why would we play him at CB when we already have the potential for a quality partnership in Lovren and Yoshida?

Swap Cork with Spiderman and fill the AM with Gaston/Davis

A 12 million bid for a player they brought for 900k they have to be happy with that surely? Wether it's wise on our part I'm not sure. Looks like he's built like boruc looks fat but can't be

Ramirez/Puncheon to compete for the slots that are currently occupied by JayRod/Lallana. Davis to compete with Schneiderlin for the more advanced centre mid role.

Apparently there may be some news tomorrow and a possible story in the Sunday People. Alan Nixon reckons Wanyama knows now where he wants to go....

Going by his tweets I read it as though it isn't a positive for us by I may be totally wrong. Got a feeling he wants to stay at Celtic. Unless it is something re: the agent situation. Good news for Cortese as he has won his agent war? good news for Celtic as no clubs want to pay the required £'s? Who knows until tomorrow morning.

@reluctantnicko: @MarkReeves999 Sunday People may have a story tomorrow ...

@MarkReeves999: @reluctantnicko good news?

@reluctantnicko: @MarkReeves999 Possibly. For someone ...

@MarkReeves999: @reluctantnicko his agent?

@reluctantnicko: @MarkReeves999 Wait for the tale. I hope it is used ...
