MOSaint Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Not like it really needs to be confirmed, but nothing of the sort was said on talksport.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 MLG can you please listen to the last 8 hours of talksport and confirm?
Monk Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Personal terms had been agreed a number of days ago/week or two. The issue is agentvfee's.
Gingeletiss Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Started here @sean_marshall88: Reports suggesting that #saintsfc have sorted out personal term with #victor Wanyama and could be finalised this evening. @sean_marshall88: @SouthamptonMike talk sport just now @sean_marshall88: @JoeHallifax still waiting for more news on talk sport SSN saying the same, maybe just picking up on the rumours though!
pangy Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Can someone actually confirm what the actual problem is ? I read on some sites we couldnt agree to his personal terms and I have also read we wouldn't accept his agents bumper fee?
Jai27 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Personal terms had been agreed a number of days ago/week or two. The issue is agentvfee's. I thought the agent was fired? Or is that just a rumour...?
Monk Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 I thought the agent was fired? Or is that just a rumour...? Was doing the rounds, no idea if true but I know Wanyama provisos manly accepted terms.
Suhari Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 I'm hearing he is now at St marys. Earlobe proof, or not real. Though I would accept a recent yacht sighting.
Saint Charlie Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 (edited) SSN saying the same, maybe just picking up on the rumours though! Really? SSN saying he has agreed terms? He has been pictured today in Germany with the Celtic squad. Edited 5 July, 2013 by Saint Charlie
ottery st mary Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Earlobe proof, or not real. Though I would accept a recent yacht sighting. Turned around and left St Marys...refused to pay the car park fee.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Personal terms had been agreed a number of days ago/week or two. The issue is agentvfee's. is this the signing you have been alluding to?
Monk Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 is this the signing you have been alluding to? No idea, was told an oversea's signing was near completion. As ever, no names.
itchen_dan Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 No idea, was told an oversea's signing was near completion. As ever, no names. Same source as last time?
Jai27 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Turned around and left St Marys...refused to pay the car park fee. Saw the new kit and 'classy' gold crest...
JoeShmoe Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 It does make sense, if Cardiff have pulled out and no-one else has come in his agents have nothing. NC for the win. Expect this to be done quickly now seeing as he's meant to play for Celtic at Cluj tomorrow and im guessing he hasn't travelled

Expect this to be done quickly now seeing as he's meant to play for Celtic at Cluj tomorrow and im guessing he hasn't travelled According to Saint Charlie he has been pictured with their squad today. I havn't seen the photograph but assuming that's true he may have left the squad to travel. If he does start in Romania then I think we'll know the situation.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Scotland to England isn't "overseas". Wanyama is Kenyan, so an overseas player.

Sour Mash Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Was doing the rounds, no idea if true but I know Wanyama provisos manly accepted terms. Very firm hand shake I take it?
ottery st mary Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Saw the new kit and 'classy' gold crest... Saw the watch on offer and said, "I have no time for this"......
TK8267 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Makes sense if he does sign today ... i mean its Friday our favorite signing day......
Wiggles31 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Celtic fans on his agent: http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134795 Allegedly on an fa agent blacklist. Also say Wanyama is not a money focused player but its his agent causing problems.
Wiggles31 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Either way sounds like the deal is bery close. Surely that rules out Banenga?
JoeShmoe Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Either way sounds like the deal is bery close. Surely that rules out Banenga? Two different players in our system i'd have thought. Wanyama would play next to Morgan with Banega the central AM
DuncanRG Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Not sure why anyone's concerned with whether he plays for Celtic or not. He's their player at the moment so of course he will. People play competitive league games for their old clubs before moves are finalised.
MOSaint Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 For me, Wanyama is a DM powerhouse that sits next to Morgan and Banega is the box to box player that plays in front of those two, much like Davis but with bags more ability.
Wiggles31 Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Two different players in our system i'd have thought. Wanyama would play next to Morgan with Banega the central AM Oh yeah their totally different styled players but surely we won't sign both!?

Saint Charlie Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 He isn't his agent anymore though, it was that Ivan Modia bloke. Same company I think.
Colinjb Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Same company I think. A quick switch to get around the blacklist perhaps?
angelman Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 So he could be merely hours away from magically changing from a money grabbing typical greedy footballer scumbag to the perfect signing, a young and hungry player signed on to the "project", our vision for the club and thrilled about the young and hungry talent he'll be playing with. CB, that's very cynical of you - but I do agree to a certain extent. It should be remembered that he hasn't said a word about anything. All I have heard is his father and his agent. Nothing from him.
Gingeletiss Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Really? SSN saying he has agreed terms? He has been pictured today in Germany with the Celtic squad. Sorry, I should of been clearer, they stated that a deal should be done one way or another, by this evening hth.
Batman Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 glasgow saint did claim that it will be 1 in 1 out by the end of the week
tajjuk Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 He isn't his agent anymore though, it was that Ivan Modia bloke. According to that forum, Rob Moore owns the company that Modia works for. So they are both his agents.

All I have heard is his father and his agent. Nothing from him. But he is right, if Wanyama snubbed us he'd be the sh1t on our shoes, if he does sign he's brilliant... That's football fans for you, fickle as f**k..
Crazy Diamond Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 I'm not saying he'll sign, but it's more than possible for the deal to go through and him not be in the country. Let's also remember that signing and an announcement are two different things. The paperwork could go through today but he might not be unveiled for another week. Neil Lennon has openly said Celtic have accepted a bid and evidently he's still got him for pre-season training. Therefore you could reason that whilst all the formalities are being completed he's happy to have him train with the team. There's no reason to doubt it, but not enough to actually support the idea he could sign soon, I suppose...

Unlikely as Celtic have a game tomorrow, next Tuesday snd next Friday plus public training sessions during the week on a training camp. It would be hard to keep his moving to Saints a secret, they might as well just announce it as soon as it is confirmed. Why would he play or train for Celtic if he was a Southampton player?

I didn't say he was. I said whilst it was being sorted out he could train for them. Say the deal falls through and he's not trained with the others, it just puts them on the backfoot. I've seen players play pre-season friendlies before driving off to sign for another club not long after full time. You also don't know that Lovren was announced the second the deal was done - or any other transfer for that matter.
irene Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 What sort of muppet gets roses tattooed on his arm FFS? Someone with too much money and little taste. Believe that is charlie mulgrew

Badger Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Our knob is firmly through that glory hole, cardiff have flicked their red (once blue) little pecker around but its not quite the length of ours. Soon celtic wont have any choice but to pucker up Wonderful imagery there Smirking, take a bow. You really are the DH Lawrence of this board.
SO16_Saint Posted 5 July, 2013 Posted 5 July, 2013 Some dude on Twitter (yeah, I know) is saying its a done deal and announcement imminent
