Victor Wanyama - Officially Signed

When we were in L1 i had no doubt Rickie, Adam, Morgan ect could do a job in the prem. you dont need to play in the prem to prove you're a class act

But only them, right ? Definitely not the likes of Hammond, or Holmes, or Dickson, Barnard, Forte, Waigo, N'Guessan, Harding, Richardson, Jaidi, Davis, Chaplow or Butterfield (the last 5 of whom already had done a job in the Prem and haven't had the chance this time...).

You specifically ONLY thought the ones who've turned out to be Prem players "could do a job in the Prem". Amazing.

read a few pages on this thread. see if you can spot him

http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/showthread.php?t=128427&page=108

I laughed, the page you link is page 108, on which he replies directly about Wanyama and then gets warned about the posting off topic. It wasn't until I started clicking back a page or two that I realised he's spouting FM Stat-type irrelevances over 10 pages before...

Too much water under the bridge now - he'll end up at Cardiff for 10M most likely. His agents will be very happy: they will get their cool 1M+ for doing nowt, and they can get another 1M+ when he moves on after Cardiff are relegated.

Still think there is an outside chance, but looking less likely while the agents are holding out for this sort of cash. Shame really; would have been a very good fit for the club and made a massive impact on his own career. As it is, I don't see him moving at all - and if he does go to Cardiff, he only kicks his chance of a big move further down the line. As many others have said, perhaps there's a reason for big clubs staying away. Can't see this latest episode helping Wanyama too much with that.

Such a shame Tommy Forecast has gone, he could have been the sweetener that sealed the Wanyama deal!!!

Well. More than likely going to have to pay agents more if we want to get to this magical European level

Sad fact

Why would Cardiff get relegated.? Did we last season?

I think he'll definitely move this transfer window - Celtic need/want the fee now, his agent wants a payday, the player seems to want a move & more money and there enough clubs interested in him.

I normally find you too predictable to be funny, but that is fantastic.

Thanks Clarke! The unpredictable nature of your posts always has me loling the day away. Who knows what you'll post next, will it be sailing info from Weymouth? Will it be tails of infractions you've given in the past? No one knows and that's why it is so fresh and funny.

However, I can't take credit for this. MLG wrote it, bear found it, I just brought it to the attention of the mainboard. In truth, MLGs Celtic stuff was even more mental and they were less interested. The Jonas Bros fans are loving it.

I'm a little disappointed MLG hasn't gone in with a few more posts.

I've checked out that Pantages Theatre. It's tiny. It holds only 3,000 people. Surely SMS, with over 10x capacity and nearby catering facilities at the King Alfred, would be a better fit than that sh!thole.

so we've established that on this occasion, because it doesnt suit 'the Southampton way' of a player not being here for the money, depsite him saying he was being offered a fortune, the paper where he gave this very interview is lying and has made up his wages. Good stuff.

Can you show they didn't?

The agent's comments don't show either of them in a good light do they? Even complaining he didn't get a big pay rise by moving to QPR last summer? Surely he views that as a lucky escape in a footballing sense, but that doesn't seem all that important to them does it - all about the money.

If we did offer terms as they claim, given the chat about Gaston's big money, I doubt it was a derisory offer either.

Bit bored of this one now

n

I don't think it's games to be honest, more an expression of disgust and a signalling of the end of our interest in Wanyama and his cohort of greedy agents.

possibly but interstingly saints are the only party involved that have not made any public comment on the deal. although they must have leaked the rumour about said agents fees.

Saints and particularly NC , are professional and do not announce anything until the deal is done>

Thats the way it should be done. not this squabbling by some clubs and agents.

I would imagine saints moved on straight away from this transfer if indeed it was true in the first place.
