West Brom away (2013/14 Fixtures)

Talking of starts and run ins - Utd have got a pretty horrible start (no favours anymore, now that Fergie has gone)...but Swansea (A), Chelsea (H), Liverpool (A), Palace (H), Citeh (A). With the exception of Palace at home, it is conceivable that they could be struggling at the foot of the table.

Watch them win every one of these by 4 goals now I have said that!

Quite, not an easy start for them at all. The rest of the 'title contenders' all have relatively easy starts. They'll certainly be playing catch up.

Look a much nicer set of fixtures than last year when we had a baptism of fire and never really managed to escape the relegation zone all season.

This time we've got a good chance of staying well out of it from the start.

Man Utd(h) last game brings back some memories from 2005. Would be sweet to beat them if they were in contention (dedicated to Roy Keane).

Norwich's run in looks a total shocker.

The last Home game falls on my birthday so I'm hoping that by then we are well-positioned and able to stuff Manure for a change. (It's long over due!)

As far as the first game is concerned I'll be happy if the Baggies play with 11 men for a change. The two games last season contained some appaling Ref decisions.

They were so key to their play last year, Steve Clark's tactics at St Mary's were spot on, let us push up, draw us in then catch us on the break using Lukaku and to a lesser extent Fortune and their third striker (Irish... forget his name) to punish us with their pace and power. His ability to replace 2 of those three will determine how their season goes.

Yep, nice opening to the season. Can't believe they are sending us to Cardiff on Boxing Day and away to Hull on a Tuesday night.... fecking ridiculous. Bit of a nightmare end to the season though.

I'm not sure what the problem is with Cardiff on Boxing Day, it's only about 2 hours away by road and there's a direct trai... oh, not on Boxing Day there isn't.

I'm not bothered, I'll be up there then anyway. :)

Oh, and I'd just like to take this opportunity to point out to Batman (or Delldays if he's lurking) that the Champions are not starting their defence of the title with a match against a promoted team, which he says happens every year and is guaranteed, or some nonsense.

I for one am looking forward to this season as i will be going to every home as i have a season ticket and also i will be going to most of the away games really looking forward to going to many away games this season and chatting about it on here i think we will win more than we lose this season as long as we get a decent right mid/winger/striker/centre mid and i think we will finish 8th/9th/10 but we will see! if we sign those players i can see us beating WBA away 3-1 with goals from Lallana/Lambert and Ramirez/Rodriguez and Morgan/Puncheon/Shaw/Clyne/Jos/Forren getting a late 3rd with Long/Morrison and anyone else who comes into my head scoring their goal but we will see! I will be going up by train to most games so does anyone know when and where tickets for WBA will be on sale and whether there are any early cheap deals on trains i would look online but i like to ask on here first i reckon there will be some cheap train tickets but we will see i will be going up with my brother/some mates for WBA so it should be a really good day out looking forward to this season now already cant wait for august COYR!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a great set of 1st fixtures compared to last season, and we are in a better place as a team.

The whole season looks more even than last season, though utd at home last game is awkward. However like ending with a home game.

We certainly owe the baggies but it will be a tough game.... though better than man city away!

That would be very sweet revenge indeed. I have never forgiven Keane for what he did.

Ben / Danny would be proud of that little effort.

You forgot to ask where everyone will be drinking, so can only give you 9/10.

Pretty sure that in the past if you started one season away you started the following season at home, this in turn would of meant boxing day would of been the same, which seems pretty unfair dealing Fulham last season and Cardiff this season and with no trains and to add Everton in with that 2 days after Cardiff is pretty ****.

Yes we got chelsea on New Year's Day not a lot to shout about

Saints win, Somerset win, would take that :)

I suspect that's the first time you've used "Somerset" and "win" in the same sentence this season. ;)

Has everyone got the two fixtures between Xmas and new year the same? Bit harsh if both are away as two games in 3 days or whatever it is is a lot tougher when you're travelling so far?

We had Fulham and Stoke both away last xmas

Anyone have any idea how many of our new fixtures are likely to change to Sunday games?

Swansea home will be moved to Sunday 6th October due to Europa league.

Our away game with Swansea will be Ok, unless they get to the semi finals.

Home game with Spurs does not clash with Europa league, while away game would be moved if they made the last 16 of the competition.

Who knows about TV fixtures though...
