Tamesaint Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 Last year we were 9/1 to finish in the top ten and Pompey were 6/1 for relegation. I know we did not finish in the top ten but we came a lot closer than a 9/1 shot should. This year we are 6/4 for the top ten and 16/1 for the top 6. Pompey are evens favourites to go up and 66/1 to be relegated. I am not sure that these odds really appeal. If it all goes t*ts up down the road with the PtS, 66/1 may seem overpriced but I cannot spot a lot of value here. Does anyone have any better suggestions? SaintBobby Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 Not Saints-related, but Stoke at 3/1 to be relegated or Chris Houghton at 20/1 to be first manager to lsoe his job both appeal to me.

Think the Stoke one is a good shout but can't really see Sunderland, Hull, Palace or Newcastle being that strong tbh.
Psycrow Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 I'll be looking for handicap bets once their out. I reckon the bookies will give us a lot of points, and can't see anyone running away with the league. Usually about 15 or 16-

SaintBobby Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 what are the odds on redknapp being the first NPC manager to be out of a job? Don't think that's quoted anywhere. QPR are the favourites for promotion though - and I can't see that happening under Redknapp!

Dr Who? Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 This coming season I am going to go for Chelsea, Watford, Wolves, Skates, & Kidderminster to win their leagues. This is one hell of a bet, that is normally over by November!

stug76 Posted 16 June, 2013 Share Posted 16 June, 2013 I like that league, and it's winnable if we hit the ground running. Everton could be in transition, and Newcastle are never far away from imploding. I fancy our chances of matching or bettering Villa and Swansea this year so I think there's value at 11's. I think that West Brom will have a chance for some reason. I guess every team is thinking the same, but if we continue our progression we'll be looking good. KK the 2nd Posted 17 June, 2013 Share Posted 17 June, 2013 Not sure there's any value around Saints at the moment - maybe one of the cups when the betting comes out? Otherwise I'm with Stoke to be relegated and Reading to be promoted.
