Dig Dig Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 International class CB with Champions League experience signed in mid June with the usual subtle and classy handling of the deal. Pochettino looking for more signings ASAP, season tickets announced and new technical kit supplier secured. Well done Saints FC, a real class act.
Colinjb Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 Bullsh*t. This is just setting us up for another disappointing transfer deadline day.

Yeah I'm impressed We've signed a potentially decent player. You can buy season tickets. We're due to release a new shirt some time soon. What other club can give you this?

Saint Charlie Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 It's true, usually Sky would be all over deals like this announcing medicals, talks etc. Saints just get it done professionally. Bodes well for rest of the summer. A midfield and striker signing of the same level would be great.
Raging Bull Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 I understand Austria's very quiet these days...
Matthew Le God Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 I await Alpine Saint's first post in this thread...
Tamesaint Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 I understand Austria's very quiet these days... No. Just certain of the idiots who live there.

Pochettino looking for more signings ASAP, season tickets announced and new technical kit supplier secured. Well done Saints FC, a real class act. We may be a 5 star boutique hotel, but only for now. Just wait until we achieve our ambition of becoming a 5 star international brand of top quality and renown. Its in the post.
Turkish Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 We are trailing behind the 7 star hotels and need to raise our game.
Dig Dig Posted 14 June, 2013 Author Posted 14 June, 2013 Like a model... Or a high class prostitute. Beautiful like a tree
The Kraken Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 We are trailing behind the 7 star hotels and need to raise our game. We should build a 7 star hotel into the new Cortesedome. That would make the footballing world sit up and take notice.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 I understand Austria's very quiet these days... New keyboard please!
The Kraken Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 New keyboard please! Yours seems to be working fine, pal.
Turkish Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 We should build a 7 star hotel into the new Cortesedome. That would make the footballing world sit up and take notice. I can imagine our helmet fans would start a hilarious chant at away games of 'we've got a hotel that's bigger than this'
suewhistle Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 I understand Austria's very quiet these days... Bit like a match day thread when we're winning...
SaintBobby Posted 14 June, 2013 Posted 14 June, 2013 It's not bad at all at Saints. But, generally, it's very poor at customer service and acts rather arbitarily on occasions. 5* boutique hotels are basically the opposite of this (their actual product is pretty good, but their competitive advantage is staggeringly superb customer service...making a 8/10 product feel and look like an 11/10 product). So, no. The answer to the OP's question is "no". (Although that might be a good thing)
ericofarabia Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 I can imagine our helmet fans would start a hilarious chant at away games of 'we've got a hotel that's bigger than this' Brilliant!! Chelski eat your heart out!!
mcjwills Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Bullsh*t. This is just setting us up for another disappointing transfer deadline day. What Potch is not gonna be giving an interview out of the window of his Jag at the training ground, to the assembled throng of journalists. I am upset, I supose all the journos will have to go to Krap Nottarf for thier stella signings instead.
Scudamore Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 The answer to the OP's question is "no". (Although that might be a good thing) Yes but the OP doesn't actually pose a question now does he?

Great response to a certain previous thread Quite agree, not only is the club doing everything right, it's doing it (with the exception of the public side of NA's dismissal) in the right way.

Very very true, I for one was running around naked this morning ecstatic with the signing of a centre back and a new kit, afterall its June and...............................
farawaysaint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Nothing but sarcasm and vitriol on this site during the off season. Cheer up you miserable sods
John Boy Saint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Customer service will be knocking a few green dots off my Tripadvisor review.
Saint137 Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Another long contract though. Great if we consolidate in the Prem but if I goes tits up they could come back to haunt us. Hopefully the Don has them on relegation clauses.

I have to agree, this has been well executed, it seems. But you have to also admit, its come as a surprise and its out of character for our club. Can we stop this bullsh*t now about worthwhile deals can only be done in the second half of August ?

Dig Dig Posted 15 June, 2013 Author Posted 15 June, 2013 Some deals can be done in June, some in July and some in August. It's always been this way for everyone.
alpine_saint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Some deals can be done in June, some in July and some in August. It's always been this way for everyone. LOL, what a change in direction. Some of us have been saying that for ages, that there is NO reason we cant do early deals and have been frustrated by our tardiness, and have been roundly abused for it too by those who INSIST deals must be done in Late August because otherwise we make rushed expensive deals and miss out on a real bargain somehow.

A change in direction from where?
alpine_saint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 He's right though. In so far as hes managed to pick one other example of us doing an early deal in living memory? Yes, but its bare-faced cheek by both of you to try and cite this as a norm at SFC. Especially as you both like to trot out the August activity arguments.

I don't think anyone has ever said that what so ever. Stop trying to twist your way out of your ramblings. The general consensus is that signings can be made from when the window opens, up until the end of august. However, as we have seen in most seasons, the majority of business occurs at the back end of August. No one has ever said that deals MUST be done in late august.

It's just as bare faced for you to ignore any kind of precedent just to provide some kind of self motivated context for your hysterical rantings.

alpine_saint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Calm down you idiot. And so starts the abuse..... Not nice being shown up for a mug, is it ?
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 And so starts the abuse..... Not nice being shown up for a mug, is it ? Poor baby.
Batman Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 we signed cork the summer before at the beginning of july
S-Clarke Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 What a bizarre reaction. Lost for words to be honest.
alpine_saint Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Poor baby. You run with it, fella. We all know now, waiting for the end of August to do our business is f**king bullsh*t...
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 What a bizarre reaction. Lost for words to be honest. He got an absolute slating a few days ago and wants some kin of payback/vindication. Despite the events of the last 24 hours utterly highlighting how ridiculous he is.
NickG Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 Nothing new from last from last, is it 6, transfer windows. Club know what they are doing and are moving club forward. Even half wit can see that. Nice to have early signing, good for team but fact of football is vast majority of deals are at end of window - for all clubs.
Batman Posted 15 June, 2013 Posted 15 June, 2013 You run with it, fella. We all know now, waiting for the end of August to do our business is f**king bullsh*t... why are you so angry about it.?

Despite the events of the last 24 hours utterly highlighting how ridiculous he is. I saw some of those threads, and I also saw the identical threads bounced from the last 4 years, where he was proven wrong, time and time again. Why does he want to do it? Has he got some sort of fetish for being made to look silly on an Internet forum?
