What about buying Hearts as a Feeder Club?

No one seems to want to help Hearts, not even the SFA. Sadly Markus is no longer around and even if Cortese was interested, perhaps it would be too difficult to convince the Liebherr Trust. Yet I believe big clubs have to consider having feeder clubs, especially those with a decent Academy policy like Saints. Hearts is in Scotland and would be a better asset than a club in Europe, or would it?

It's a great idea.

We could have even more hialrious "Skacel signs" threads.

Win-win.

How would you like it if Arsenal bought us a feeder team?

Ridiculous idea.

Aren't Arsenal in the same country as Saints? Maybe even the same division? Just asking....

Would you be against English teams buying feeder teams in, say, Tunisia or Indonesia?

I don't really understand posts like this. Are you posting it on here because you want to start a fan movement to make this happen or do you think this is actually a forum where ideas are put forward to the club? I know half the threads are speculative, but they're usually speculating about what sort of players we might be looking at or teams and formations the manager might be considering. This is a bit more like posting a dream you had.

You need to bear in mind who the OP is, and go a bit easy on him. Lucid thoughts tend to be quite rare in the world of ART.

Ignoring the fact that they're rivals and that they're in the same country for a moment, but would you buy pompey as a feeder club? Probably not, as it's a basket case of club, owning little other than what can be loosely termed 'a ground'. Welcome to Hearts - except they don't own their ground. Not sure of the status of the training ground, but if they own that (and if they do it'll mortgaged to the hilt) then it's a nice training ground. Trouble is, they is a very real chance, they won't be playing at Tynecastle in the future as the development potential of the site is worth far more than a football ground, so if you're buying then yes you will probably get the club fairly cheap but you will need £20-30m to build them a new stadium.

The second point is what benefit do you get from a feeder club in Scotland, are they going to produce cultured footballers who can pass the ball? ART, have you seen any games from north of the border recently? There's more cultured football in League One (and probably League Two)

So to answer the original question, no.

It is impossible nowadays to bring any discussion onto the site. It's the same two or three topics posted over and over again.

People claim they are bored. Sorry for them, because I am not bored, have lived and worked an adventurous life in more than 20 countries, including 20 years in the P.R. China, a life most could only dream of in their wildest dreams. Any attempt to share or past on my experiences or a different thinking only gets met by insults, name calling from envious, non entities, most of whom haven't got a job or are exam failures.

Get a life. I wonder how many of them are happily retired in the south f France as I am despite being crippled by wrongly diagnosed diabetic neurology leaving me unable to walk or no feeling in my feet and hands

When reading people are bored what better way than to bring an original topic to be discussed. Hearts were only one opportunity, there are many possibilities. Are we not one of the richest clubs in the country? So why not lead the way and create a footprint for the future.
