Barry Sanchez Posted 7 June, 2013 Share Posted 7 June, 2013 I only have one hdmi on my surround sound and that goes to the tv, I want to be able to on occasions play my laptop through my surround sound for music, will a hdmi splitter work? External sound card has been mentioned, is that a goer? Help.
Pugwash Posted 10 June, 2013 Share Posted 10 June, 2013 I've been using a NEET HDMI 3-way switch for several years now, without any problem. Has three inputs - cable box, game console and Blu-Ray. Has a remote control, but works automatically anyway. Costs about £15-20. Check out Amazon.
JPTCount Posted 12 June, 2013 Share Posted 12 June, 2013 Can't you just use an old school 3.5mm lead, either with left & right, or just a 1-1 connection. Most new sound systems have a hole somewhere on the front labelled MP3, or plug it into one of the AUX channels on the back.
