Wayne Bridge as back-up for Luke Shaw

He would be better then Danny Fox.

Do we sign someone who can help Shaw, or someone who will fight tooth and nail for his first team place, potentially encouraging him to leave?

Please list people who would not be better than Fox. It's quicker.

The latter, obviously. I don't believe for one second Shaw would leave simply because somebody is challenging him for his place. I believe, as with most footballers (certainly not all though, granted) they will use the competition as motivation to stay on top of their game.

THAT's what we need.

Wayne was great for Saints back in the day but better that he excels playing for Nigel at Reading in the NPC than spends more time on the bench like he did at City. Not too bad a commute from Cobham either if he's still based there, or if he's back in Winchester that's not bad a trip up the A33 either.

Bang goes the thread then. :)

Good luck to Bridgey.

Reading the North Stand Chat forum, those Brighton fans really loved him. "Best left back in our history in my opinion."

And yes, they really hate Nige'. Move on lads, move on!!

Can't believe they actually made a banner about all that 'keep up' nonsense! Such a noddy club.

No campaign, just a thought that I feel has merit. He wouldn't be first choice, that is clear but where else will we find someone better then Fox that may be willing to play second fiddle?

Errrr on any local playing field ! Fox would not get in most pub teams!
