"The identities of those involved cannot be revealed for legal reasons, but is said that the relationship was between

two middle-aged figures and has now come to an end."

How old is middle-aged ??

Who really cares that much these days as it would seem no sexy Russian spies were involved unlike

the 1960's with Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies.

I have ( On other sites ) seen some 4 names mentioned and to me none are old enough to be

what I consider middle-aged.

You can tell it's the off season

Most amusing, will be even more amused if it is some ridiculous pairing such as BoJo & Milliband.

No doubt it'll be two people no one cares about.

I can neither confirm nor deny that either of the persons in question is me. I would say, however, that I am probably too old to be considered middle-aged and neither do I work in Downing Street.

someone PM me the names please

Friends-Coulson-Cameron-Brooks.jpg

This is a photo from 2012 which might have some relevance, no idea but lots of the twitterarti are backing it. It is also known Camerons brother is the head of a law firm and has the initials AC. Both paint interesting scenarios.

If any of this comes to light, I reckon Dave could be right in the sh*t:

Didnt disclose during Levenson

NOTW shut down

AC had his no.10 security clearance glossed over

Murdoch made to look a fool

It would be quite delicious.

How has this come to light? Were the poor darlings mobile phones hacked?

Shocking.

although a bit of googling seems Boris Johnson and Sam Cam have got a bit jiggly together.

Cant tell the B_llshyte from the real stuff anymore

You're Sally Bercow and I claim my substantial damages.

A blogger called Broker Man Daniel has come out with it good and proper.

So anyone who doesn't already know, its there. I won't link it but "downing street affair" in twitter will get you there.

Great story, will be in the Guardian/Telegraph by the weekend at the latest.

There are other sites that claim this story is a smokescreen for the real story. After all, ACRB was a story that broke several months ago. If the other Story is to be believed, it Could conceivably (sic) Bring down the con-dem Joint government.

Where did it break several months ago? Pretty sure it wouldn't have passed me by if it was in the papers/TV.

Sorry, hands up.

I was getting my R's mixed up. It's another story.

If Coulson and Brooks were bonking, what's the big deal?

Looks like Cameron got shafted all round despite being the only one to not get laid.

I don't get why its a big deal either. So the press exerted unhealthy leverage on the PM and managed to get a lover a job by telling porkies. Its hardly shocking stuff in the ethics vacuum of politics is it?

Indeed, what would be really interesting is if the bonking couple weren't Coulson and Brooks and were even closer to Cameron.

You little tease. ;)

The Boris and Samantha Cameron one? I don't buy that. I might be persuaded to briefly lift my cynicism if it were Samantha Cameron and Rebecca Brooks - now that would be a story fit for the front page (and p4,5,6,7,9,10,13, and 15) of the NOtW.
