bowers-sfc Posted 1 June, 2013 Share Posted 1 June, 2013 I'm probably being stupid.. But could this be a possible clue to our new sponsor? @JFBLucas: Back in England. The Kraken Posted 1 June, 2013 Share Posted 1 June, 2013 I'm still not sure why you lot think aap would just give up their sponsorship deal... They could get bought out of it. Particularly if it wasn't for that great an amount in the first place (which is likely given we achieved 2 promotions in 2 years). Other football clubs have done it in the past, so its not exactly as unprecedented as you seem to think.

As a successful banker with many billionaire contacts, now we are fully established as a Premer league club, I'd expect our chairman to bat off the small time organisations and secure a deal with a company fitting with our image and reputation as we dine at soccerball a top table. I believe it was around £1m per season in the premier league. a friends wife works for Checkatrade (based in dorset) and they were in talks with the club post sash kit. the price she told me (cant think of any reason for her to lie/make it up) was a deal worth £300k per season in the championship with that rising to around £1m per season if/when the premier league was reached with a get out option should they not wish to pay that in the premier league. they decided not to go for it and ended up sponsoring a cowboy builder programme on channel 5 as that would reach their potential customer base and give them more value for money maybe there is a 'get out' option for either side with AAP3 again this summer.? who knows

Turkish Posted 1 June, 2013 Share Posted 1 June, 2013 Could coco pops be code for coca cola Coco - coca Pops - cola No. Coco pops are little brown cereals that you put in milk, milk is white and comes from cows, cows like in a field and provide meats like beef and steak, steak goes well with chips and you can also get chips at chip shops, take aways and Macdonalds, McDonald's is a fast food outlet with a global presence, other companies with huge global presences include Nike, Microsoft and Exon Mobil, who are the biggest company in the world and have a site in Southampton at fawley and have just signed a new sponsorship deal with the local football club. red Bull saints. I just don't get it personally. If I owned aap I'd be very happy at the fact that I'd sponsored a team on the cheap and they were now being seen by millions of people worldwide. Barry Sanchez Posted 3 June, 2013 Share Posted 3 June, 2013 it could take some time if we go through a list of all the companies who WONT be sponsors next season I happen to know Kellogg's wont be sponsoring Southampton next year, as for Nestle I would say I'm 99.99999% sure. Most companies of repute are based in Switzerland and in a smaller capacity Ireland purely for tax reasons, that's changing soon so an awful lot of companies are ****ting themselves as their tax affairs may have to be wedged open soon (Amazon, Starbucks), trust me on this they are ****ting themselves but thats another Bazza story for another time. THE did all the marketing, distribution etc for Nintendo exclusively in the UK and were owned by John Menzies until the Germans pulled the Nintendo operation from the UK even though we were their most profitable subsidiary.
