kwsaint Posted 30 May, 2013 Share Posted 30 May, 2013 It was the first time I'd taken the official coach this year to Wigan since I normally drive. I was working out what a good deal £25 for a return was in comparison to driving or train. It works out slightly cheaper than driving and about half price of the train. In a day when football is expensive everywhere, it came as a surprise. Your thoughts?
Griffo Posted 30 May, 2013 Share Posted 30 May, 2013 My train was much cheaper than that.
alehouseboys Posted 30 May, 2013 Share Posted 30 May, 2013 If there's 4 of you in a car all chipping in for petrol then it's a lot cheaper. Group saves on the train are favourite and you never have to even consider the dreaded bingo buses that way
Golden Balls Posted 30 May, 2013 Share Posted 30 May, 2013 Even if they halved that price I would take a lot of convincing. Drive or train up with a few cans and mates.
September Saint Posted 2 June, 2013 Share Posted 2 June, 2013 It's not my first choice but the coach was quite useful for midweek matches when you can't get back by train. However there is usually only one midweek away game in the EPL (plus the odd Monday Sky game) so not much use now. Perhaps those who choose not to use it should sneer less. It's a personal choice.
