St_Tel49 Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 It is Tony Pulis' initials too though. Doesn't mean I think any less of TP. Strictly speaking Pulis' Initials are AP
Professor Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 Should SFC employ Mystic Meg? She might be dead for all I know, although if so, I wonder if she saw it coming? But definitely as relevant as picking on any other random name and suggesting the person CDAJFU. Only went onto this thread because didn't know who or what TP was but at least I've been able to post a negative comment which always provides some satisfaction for a football fan. Saint Charlie Posted 3 July, 2013 Author Share Posted 3 July, 2013 He obviously doesn't know how to spell his own full name. His actual initials would be ARP anyway, but he is commonly known as Tony Pulis hence using those intials, which he uses himself. I am comfortable with the stance I have taken re the use of his common initials rather than his technically correct initials.

Saint Charlie Posted 3 July, 2013 Author Share Posted 3 July, 2013 I like a man who stands by his stance Good. In any case, TP (or ARP) won't be the new Passion/Set Piece Coach at Staplewood. Or at least not that I know of. Wouldn't suprise me if he did appear occassionally to observe training as many out of work coaches do, seeing as he is based down the road in Christchurch. buctootim Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 I suggest we forget Pulis and hire Dr Vena Ramphal. Maybe not on a contract but I'd certainly hire her for session work.
scotty Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 Err what have you been watching this year? Ramirez's set pieces have been a nightmare, in fact they got him subbed off once im quite sure! Lallana's have been ok, he's not beckham but has set up a few decent chances and is often the best available option on the pitch. Which pretty much says it all. Lambert for me. Ramirez really disappointed me with his corners and most of his free kicks. On a side note, while I was on holiday in Switzerland, I caught the last 15 minutes of the Uruguay-Brazil game. The guy sat next to me in the bar couldn't understand why I collapsed in helpless laughter when Gaston stepped up to take the freekick which represented Uruguay's last realistic chance of the match to equalise. He then mentioned Gaston had also been taking the left-wing corners throughout, at which point I actually spilled my beer.
Deano6 Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 Just an ITK hunch on this one. With someone of that style as a passion coach our glass ceiling is removed IMO. Hopefully doing some set piece drills today. Not Pulis however, but a coach will be doing some passion drills throughout pre season. So we've hired...a coach. Saint Charlie Posted 3 July, 2013 Author Share Posted 3 July, 2013 So we've hired...a coach. No. Just that Im sure the coaches will be doing some passion drills in pre season to input passion to the players. Our coaching setup looks strong to me. Matthew Le God Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 From what Im hearing this might not be overly far-fetched. Will be interested to see the OS Gallery of the first day of training... Is your source confusing Chris Lovegrove with Tony Pulis?
Badger Posted 3 July, 2013 Share Posted 3 July, 2013 What about Sir Clive , or Simon Clifford if we need some revolutionary coaching ?

Junction 9 Posted 4 July, 2013 Share Posted 4 July, 2013 There is only one candiate for the role of Passion coach in my mind, and that's Tommmy Widdrington. Much cheaper than Pullis and more passionate to boot, no brainer.
