RedAndWhite91 Posted 28 May, 2013 Share Posted 28 May, 2013 FC Red Bull Salzburg "The Red Bull company bought the club on 6 April 2005 and rebranded it. After the takeover, Red Bull changed the club's name, management, and staff, declaring "this is a new club with no history." Red Bull initially claimed on the club website that the club was founded in 2005, but was ordered to remove this claim by the Austrian F.A. The new authority removed all trace of violet from the club logo and the team now play in the colours of red and white, to the consternation of much of the club's traditional support"

Delboy Dave Posted 28 May, 2013 Share Posted 28 May, 2013 Monster logo looks crap due to spotty chavs and knobhead biker types thinking theyre gangster by sticking it all over their crappy 1.2litre Corsas and 125cc 2 stroke bag-of-nails motocross bikes. Its probably the same kind of morons than ruined Burberry a few years ago that have made Monster such trash I would not buy a shirt with a Monster logo on it no matter how nice it was. The9 Posted 28 May, 2013 Share Posted 28 May, 2013 To be honest, if there's one sponsor that would give me cause for concern, it's Red Bull. Pretty much every other sponsorship you can accept will be just having the name on the shirts, and maybe some tie-ins to give benefits for fans. Only one company (since Talbot in the 1980s, anyway) has tried to completely take over the identity of numerous clubs to further its branding. Unless anyone can think of any other examples ? Red Bull just sponsor people in other sports though, there are Red Bull teams and teams sponsored by Red Bull. Like Citroen and Volkswagen in WRC if I recall correctly. Seem to remember a WRC Mini Cooper with dolly girls giving out Red Bull in Brest High St not long back. angelman Posted 28 May, 2013 Share Posted 28 May, 2013 Probably reading far too much into things now, but, clubs that Red Bull sponsor: RB Leipzig: Adidas kit NY Red Bulls: Adidas Kit Red Bull Salzburg: Adidas Kit Red Bull Brasil: Adidas Kit Red Bull Ghana: Adidas Kit And all play with white shirt with red adidas detailing with red shorts and white socks. The rumours are we are to be sponsored by an F1 team/drinks company and will be using a predominantly one colour shirt supplied by Adidas next year of a design that will not please everyone..... One rather small detail with all these. Red Bull may sponsor them all, but they also own them all as well. Do Red BUll sponsor teams that they don't own? Do Red BUll sponsor teams that they don't own? Not sure. I believe their involvement in football tends to be all or nothing. Maybe why they have essentially left the english game alone due to costs, although as RB Leipzig show they are not afraid to take over someone small with the intention of growing it.
