dingbattigger Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Bury it in uncooked rice and leave it. Soaks the wetness out of it
Colinjb Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Don't put it in the microwave like a friend of mine did.....

mdearlove Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Bury it in uncooked rice and leave it. Soaks the wetness out of it +1 leave it for at least 3 days, preferably even more.
Wrensup Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Bury it in uncooked rice and leave it. Soaks the wetness out of it This. Just shove it in a jar of rice, even put it in the airing cupboard if you want.
Saint137 Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 And send the used rice as an aid package for our fishy friends down the road. Just one more thing, they have moisture sensors in the headphone socket and dock connector so don't try taking it back to the Apple Store, they won't repair/replace it
Smirking_Saint Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 If it was on at the time your probably knackered
Spudders Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 What was in the toilet at the time? Were there logs?
ecuk268 Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Our cordless house phone did a full cycle in the washing machine. Left it in a warm place for a week or so and it recovered although it wasn't as loud as before.
SO16_Saint Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Dropped mine in a cup of coffee a while back. Left it in a bowl of rice for a week/10 days and it worked again. I have no media sound and the home button sometimes doesn't work, but I'm using it to write this, so can't complain too much.
Reggie Dunlop Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Stick it in front of a dehumidifier will draw the moisture out of better than rice, wether it will work is down to luck?
Saint-scooby Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 Remove the back panel first , 2 very small screws at the base , it slides up, remove the battery then pace it in a warm room/airing cupboard for a few days I guess you have synced your phone over the last week or 2 ?
CB Saint Posted 28 May, 2013 Author Posted 28 May, 2013 Went with the rice option - thing is working today so fingers crossed Spuds, to put your mind at rest, it was pre log.
CB Saint Posted 28 May, 2013 Author Posted 28 May, 2013 Well rice and oven combo, phone is now working. Ta chaps

Whitey Grandad Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 The more intriguing question is... How did it drop in the bog? What were you doing with it there? You need one of these: http://www.collinsamerica.com/page4/page4.html
