If you have an ear infection go to doctors ASAP, literally the worst pain I have ever been in, and I have torn muscles, cruciate ligaments and bones.

There's no pain, just a lingering feeling of dizziness and not feeling quite right

Could well be low blood pressure BUT a visit to the Doctors is essential. Asking for medical

advice on a football forum isn't the best idea as shown by some of the moronic replies in

a so called sensible forum - The Lounge.

Could be a build up of ear wax that has hardened enough to put pressure on the inner ear. That can be relieved by putting drops of mineral oil in the ear - this will soften the wax and relieve the pressure. But you need to check this out with your doctor.

Larbrynthitis not pleasant . Middle ear infection

This my wife had it for months. She could not walk without looking like she was a little bit drunk. Out shopping early in the morning got some interesting looks.

My girlfriend had exactly the same thing recently. She went to the doctors and was told it was a viral problem that should settle down within a week or so, which it did. She's absolutely fine now, but she couldn't work for a few days.

The doctor also prescribed some medication to ease the dizziness. I can't remember what it's called but it also used as an anti-psychotic because it calms certain areas of the brain associated with both psychotic tendencies and balance, apparently.

I used to get it after travelling, particularly on boats. It was due to the balance mechanism in the inner ear being compromised. The doctor eventually prescribed sea sickness tablets (sea sickness is caused by the same imbalance apparently) and that worked fine. It was a bit tough for me as I was still dancing at the time!

I also discovered that a glass of wine or two somehow corrected the imbalance!

Had this myself about 2 months ago. Was off work for a couple of weeks, told not to drive being the main reason, lasted for about a month but did slowly get better as each day passed. Was horrible feeling though, dr told me usually occurs after having another illness before hand, in my case she thinks a cold I had the week before triggered it.

Have you been eating enough lately?....or have you had a cold?...I was getting terrible headaches getting out of bed (but then that was probably combined with the Hydrocephalus).

Eating fine, and not had a cold for ages.

I knew as soon as I stood up that something wasn't right.

I'd definately see a doctor then; the general had to insert a "gravitational equaliser" onto the top of my valve when this happened to me so unless you have a ventricular peretonal shunt inserted in ya, draining off CSF....it's probably not that ;p

So16 you should see a GP . It can last a few days or a few weeks. Get the antibiotics into you . It's not pleasant but you will get better. Hockey saint stop putting the fear of god into him or is it a her .

We've all essentially come up with the same advice: "see a doctor" and then he or she will know exactly what it is, but in my defence, as sherlock always said "first rule out the impossible......"
