Vegas Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 The Shaw Fox what if is telling.
badgerx16 Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 Not sure that many on here would view Gazza as our most effective keeper.
norwaysaint Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 The one that show's Boruc wasn't better than Gazzaniga statistically will surprise a few too. Obviously doesn't tell the whole story though.
Batman Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 Not sure that many on here would view Gazza as our most effective keeper. suppose he would be when he played against QPR, Norwich, Newcastle etc. still manage to almost throw the ball in the net a few times
SaintBobby Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 So, they consider 5 "what ifs" and basically decide that they would have made very little difference indeed. Brilliant.
norwaysaint Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 suppose he would be when he played against QPR, Norwich, Newcastle etc. still manage to almost throw the ball in the net a few times My name's Brett and I live in Camden, but I post things uncannily similar to what the Delldays posted. You do know that your old user name wasn't banned, don't you? Welcome back, there are many others equally addicted to this place and you shouldn't feel ashamed. I prefer Boruc too. Not necessarily a better shot stopper (hence the stats), but, once he settled, his composure made the whole defence feel more settled, which is a very important part of the keeper's role and means they have fewer shots to stop.. Andre Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 "What if Jack Cork was healthy all season?"
beatlesaint Posted 24 May, 2013 Share Posted 24 May, 2013 I agree with the Cork one, had he been fit at the start I think we would have scraped a few draws in games we lost. And to be honest it doesn't take a genius to work out we are better with Shaw at left back than Fox playing, well wherever the mood takes him really
