What a good job we signed MP when we did, things look well set for the new season.....

..... BUT Can anyone recall if there's ever been a season with so many Prem. managers leaving clubs -even before the new season's started.

Man U champs - Ferguson goes - OK he had to go some time, but will they continue their good form under Moyes?

Man City 2nd - Mancini was a " misfit " didn't win anything this time around - and he's out. If Citeh get it wrong now, they'll be mid table before you know it .

Chelsea 3rd - we knew Benitez was going, but they look a good bet for the title.... IF Mourinho returns...

Everton 6th - Moyes moves onto MU - but who will succeed him? New man will have a real challenge...

Stoke 13th - no surprise, but Pulis is out...look set for the drop - if they get it wrong now.

Sunderland 17th - De Canio has hardly been convincing at the start, and wants to get rid of a lot of his squad.

.....somehow can't believe that's the lot ...and the " musical chairs " will start all over again -makes for a lot of uncertainty - who's next ?

LAST THOUGHT ...could there be a better time for Saints to challenge for the top half of table ....or even better ?

Ive not been blown away by Pochettino. 4 wins in 16 is not great at all.

Very poor finish to the season and goals dried up.

Lots to prove next season, he inherits a great squad and will get to spend....... Hope he's up for it or his managerial career could be over.

that's what I always enjoy about your posts, Glasgow so full of hope and such a positive attitude.

Agree with you Glasgow, I am amazed that he is still seen as such a great coach with that record, although the fact that three of his wins were against illustrious opposition tends to paper over the doubts for some.

Lets see who he brings in!

This will of course be the acid test.

Good luck to MP, the honeymoon period is now over.

I don't think anyone views Pochettino as the finished article yet, people are just optimistic that he can deliver on his promise. And he is being tipped for great things by many authoritative figures, Mourinho etc.

The honeymood period is over but so is his time having to keep the team going without fully implementing his ideas. He's going to make changes in the close season

In terms of high managerial turnover, Alan Pardew is now the second longest serving manager in the top flight with just 2 seasons under his belt.

Were Pardew to be sacked, Arsene Wenger would then have been in post for longer than all the other Premier League managers put together.

I think it is a real shame that Adkins wasn't given to the end of the season. I dont think he would have done any worse than MP. Time will tell with MP but so far I dont think he has set the world alight.

well, adkins has to win the league really. McDermot (who is deemed not as good as adkins) got a playoff final and a league championship in 2 seasons with said players
