Sky on the Xbox

Hi all who read this.

 

I have a ps3 but am thinking of getting an Xbox so I can watch sky through it. Does any one do this already?. If so what's it like , quality and what do yo get? Just movies on demand or do yu get all the channels? Cheers

I have it. Works very well, exactly the same content of sky go mobile with sports/films if its part of your package. It is only in SD though.

I watch Sky on it. I wouldn't say it's fantastic, the picture quality is okay, but I found the lag on occasions to be bloody annoying, particularly when watching Saints on a live game.

 

I'm assuming you mean watching via Sky Go? I've got Virgin Media on very fast Broadband speed and the router is just on the other side of the wall from the Xbox.

Following on from my prior comments, I use an Xbox 360 in my bedroom specifically for the iPlayer/Sky Go type apps and it works brilliantly, I have also been able to synch it with my desktop computer to stream all my music to it.

 

If you can pick up a 360 on the cheap, I would go for it, you will certainly save money and have greater versatility over another sky box via sky multiroom.
