Minty Posted 20 May, 2013 Posted 20 May, 2013 Contracts mean little these days, and despite my slightly mischievous initial reply, none of us have a clue what might or might happen. However given all the noises coming out this season, and the number of players who did sign new contracts, I think most players seem happy here and want to continue to grow with Saints. I would personally be surprised if Morgan left us. For more likely is indeed simply that he has found another house or area that he prefers. Such is life.

I haven't spoken this mate of mine for a few months (since I was last in Southampton) and I didn't realise he was even in the process of selling his house to Morgan, but I have no reason to disbelieve him. I know his house is worth a fair bob after the massive extension he built on it a few years ago. It's in a very desirable part of Bassett, and although it is quite small in comparison to the kind of gated mansion that you would normally associate with a PL footballer, it seems perfectly reasonable.

But the only worrying thing is that Arsenal ( who have tracked him for a while ) have said to be splashing the cash this summer. I'm sure NC wont settle for bids anything less than £20 million for him, if he really wants European football he needs to get a special team here and that would include Morgan.

Every word he said was absolutely true as far as I know though, Lambert did get pulled from the kit launch flyers etc due to a last minute call from the club, and he definitely wasn't on the advertising (it was for the yellow away shirt). It didn't mean we were selling him though, and it could also be true that Schneiderlin has found a better house, or just decided he wants to live somewhere else.

Based on the fact Gaston thinks Guly is the best player at the club Morgan decided in the interest of the club to please Mr Do Prado.

Skinny lad, would say about late teens early 20s... I did wonder to myself if he was a possible signing, but I guess he could just be a relative of Poch or youth player. I have had a stalk through some of the names rumoured without any luck. He didn't seem that interested as he was on his phone the whole game.

Ball-ie moved around the country, managing different clubs here and there, but retained his house (at Chilworth or somewhere like?) Eventually, he reluctantly put in on the market....... and it took almost 2 years to find a buyer for it. 2 weeks after the house deal went through - he got offered the Saints managers job (after Branfoot)...and had to go house-hunting himself.
