Wimbledon for a fortnight.

No Olympics this year as a distraction.

Not interested in cricket.

Just mindless transfer speculation.

What we need is a 2007 style 'takeover saga' to occupy us; oh for the days of yacht sightings, and tracking on the internet, and misinformed ITK'ers.

Wonder how Paul Allen is these days.

It will be alright we have Alpines 'not spending soon enough' and 'we blew the summer transfer window' threads and his associated speculation of the Liebherr's intent to look forward too. We have loads of kit talk, a little bit of expansion talk, the odd posting of the Ted Bates statue and no doubt Turkish and his mates will think of something to tease us with all summer, the little tinkers and soon after all that has been exhausted the season will begin.

Go fishing. Walk the Cornwall coast. Voluntary work for the aged incontinent. Go fishing. Golac's suggestion.

Man, if you are really so dependent on the footy you need to seriously examine your life. Badly.

then go fishing

All signings to be made by the 1st of July so no speculating as previous seasons. There's alwaysa Auzzie football so we should get recommendations on who to support and get involved with. Maybe John Sydenham could make a recommendation for us. Would be great to have an Aussie club for the off season.

Cricket, and cycling.

Family holiday,which is always brilliant.

Love getting out on a Saturday and Sunday on the bike.

Then wait for the fixture list where I plan the away games I want to go to, only to not!

Nice to to worry for 3 months!

Nipper's club & representative & hopefully (although unlikely) county cricket which when playing for 2 age groups (U11 & U12) takes up loads of time, plus my occasional Sunday outing with DJ for some "friendly" cricket with the lad plus tickets to the ICC games & Ashes tests, combined with a family holiday to France, PS3 & xhamster makes my summer complete.

  • 4 weeks later...
You'd think a relaxing summer in a beautiful country with mountain air would leave you fairly happy and chilled out. Your club doing well in the top flight after years of struggle, money to spend, good players. I mean life would be good right? Right?

Exactly the air of complacency that bothers me. I reckon next season will be as tough as this one.

Next season will be tough, possibly tougher than this one given that we don't have the element of surprise that all new teams have and the level of expectation from the boardroom and the fans will be higher.

No sign of an air of complacency though that I can see. We know that a plan has been agreed with the owners that will fund the ambitions of NC and that is the most reassuring think that we could know at this stage. Over the course of the next 2 - 3 weeks we'll find out about new signings, the fixture list, a new kit and the friendlies that will set us up for the new season. No club has done all of those things yet so we aren't out of step with the rest of the football world to any degree that will put us at a disadvantage.

Playstation 3 and masturbation

Hmmm I heard it wasnt too popular around these parts.... or was that Golf

We can always strangle small animals :)

I guess the good thing about having another football code in this Country - as much as it proabbaly looks like a bunch of madmen running around like headless chickens, it's sure entertaining.

I have to say though... this end of season is a killer... i have such a high expectation for next season thats im continually looking forward to new news on the Saints.

WCQ have helped a little as well

I like to while away the hours reading the "first fixture sweepstake" thread, which we have in some form another, EVERY YEAR.
