You LUCKY LUCKY people.

I'm all packed and off to the airport in 6 hours for the MASSIVE partying in the run up to THE Wedding of the Year on Saturday.

I ain't got no laptop & my fone got fried so unless I can re-install tapatalk in the check in queue tomorrow you can all celebrate....

Because Bearsy will be back on this forum before I am.

See y'all!

Yo!

Tokes, how are you doing on the shopping list for Bear's return party?

Did you get the narcotics? What about the hookers? Have you paid the rozzers off to ignore any bodies that turn up?

Phil why you not reading my countless posts which say it is a two week ban? And more importantly, why you a registered abuser? This is what happens before a ban you know!

Actually, scrap that, reading my posts is more important that your status.

Like was said before, this is a football forum.

I don't want to have to deal with this thread any more.

We need to delete all of the other sub-forums, including the Muppet Show. This is a football forum. Alternatively, all Lounge stories now have to have a football in shot. Any muppet show post must reference football. I'm on safe ground with this one, because I've mentioned football several times.

So football. It's a funny old game, isn't it?

Maybe Bear wasn't banned and it is all just a mod cover up.......now who do we know that can find out? ;)

I'm just like saying, that your shared mod keyboard and stuff are not showing much sign of wear or whatever! And if you had really just moderated a thread as skillfully as tokyos has been insinuating, then there would be more tell tale signs of said actions on the keys.

When bear was fractioned to the point of banned then logic clearly suggests that the Enter key would have been slapped hard in mod related self satisfactions. This is all facts and can be seen on reddit.

Now. If Enter key was slapped in this way, surely keyboard would not have been up to task today in your victorious thread closing ceremonies in the lounge.

I'm just repeating facts here! Not suggesting anything else yo. Open your eyes peoples.

When the war didn't kick off I lost all my money in supporting the tart bars in Makati Manila so am a bit brassic at the moment and as another poster said will only renew when Bearsy is reinstated. Plus paypal lost all my details and didnt give the mods any curry money.

Shame the mods chose to shut that thread down, rather than actually moderating. I visit other forums where that actually happens. Doesn't seem that hard; whenever stuff is clearly getting abusive, a moderator steps in and deftly gets things back on course.

isn't shutting the thread down a form of moderating then?

bit of an extreme comparison but fyi painkillers were used but to no effect. Locking it was the right call

I didn't see any evidence of anyone stepping in and moderating.

I don't see anyone swooping in when similar stuff is happening on other threads.

I think a big part of the reason you don't moderate stuff like this is because you can't. As the closing comment goes, this is a football forum. Then why have the likes of the Lounge, etc in the first place?

Take a look back over that thread. Apart from one suggestion that all might not be right, a position I stand by even more now incidentally, everything was one-way traffic - a slew of insults, and I wasn't even the first to get it. My mate Dr Who was getting called cu.nt earlier by VFTT in that thread. It's all still there.

Can I take the continued existence of such material to be tacit moderator approval? Is this the sort of thing you like to see on SaintsWeb? Is this the new standard for "serious discussion" in the Lounge?

The problem on this site is the same as it ever was, and that thread is a fine example. While you continue to tolerate people coming onto "serious discussion" boards, call people cu.nts and leave that unchallenged and unedited for days, then you've not really got a leg to stand on when talking about administering the appropriate dose of moderation.

can you see the PM's sent to individuals? Or deleted posts? There comes a point when it is easier to close a thread that has gone way off topic or turned into a slanging match with no sign of recovery than it is to go through and delete countless posts. My understanding is, a mod requested to go back on topic, which was ignored so rightfully, it was locked.

Just out of interest, did you use the report post facility?

I did not see the PMs or deleted posts. I can however, read what is still there - which is what my criticism refers to. Take a look at that thread beginning to end. Does it strike you as particularly well moderated?

A moderator did step in early to ensure that people didn't start making generalisations about the religious group the attackers came from, but that was about it.

In my opinion, the mods took the easy way out on that thread, shutting down a discussion instead of sorting out the people ruining it.

You didn't answer the question I posed earlier about whether you feel that someone swanning onto a topic, calling someone a cu.nt without justification, is the sort of content you want. For all the PMs and deleted posts you mention, that's still up there. If that's permissible, what did you end up deleting?
