Some countries didn't like alcohol sponsors before, but all the payday loans and gambling adverts are 10 times worse IMO. I think the sponsor looks fine aesthetically, without getting into the morality of it. Interesting that they chose to move the away sponsor off the intersection of the quarters - probably to reduce the number of problems with the sponsor falling off, as opposed to any great design feat. I'm pretty sure we already know what a plain blue Nike kit will like this season, and that's probably what they'll get.

As well as the badge everyone hates for no apparent reason, they've added a whole new white hoop and white collar. Though I have to say there it looks like there seems to have been some photoshopping around the badge on these as well... I wonder if they might be reworked old fakes (or maybe just samples that had the old badge on?). Edited 17 June, 2013 by The9

I was going to say "because Umbro don't exist any more and there's a big ole vacuum for teams to get kit deals", but actually they've only added Fulham, Saints and West Ham. Umbro only had us and Man City last season and City were already signed with Nike due to their 10 year Umbro deal. Adidas also got lucky with Hull coming up and none of their teams going down (relegated sides wore MiFit, Puma and Lotto). They already had Chelsea, Stoke, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom last season. Figures are as follows : adidas (9) : Chelsea, Fulham, Hull, Saints, Stoke, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom, West Ham. Nike (4) : Arsenal, Everton, Man City, Man Utd Puma (2) : Cardiff, Newcastle Macron (1) : Villa Avec (1) : Palace Warrior (1) : Liverpool Errea (1): Norwich Under Armor (1): Spurs Edited 25 June, 2013 by The9
