Even if Wigan win tonight, I've got more chance of becoming an International Platinum-selling music artist in a long term relationship with Taylor Swift than Saints have of getting relegated on Sunday, such is the set of hugely improbable events that would need to happen.

Wait, I've got de ja vu...

Maloney is some player, they'd do well to keep him if they do go down.

Wigan are losing 1 0 and its all arsenal . The arse are just practicing their shooting . So we are definately safe if it stays this way

Even if I had read this before HT, I would have said "it won't; Wigan love to soak up pressure then need just a free kick or a corner to score. Lo and behold!"

I won't sit comfortably until Arsenal are 3 goals up!!!

Why? We're safe whatever happens!

Arsenal will never achieve anything, as long as they keep starting Ramsey as their central midfielder.

They could do with someone like Schneiderlin next season...

This game is proper stretched now. Not sure that suits Wigan to be honest, if it stays as end to end as this, then Arsenal will win it. But Wigan are looking threatening themselves.

This is a good game. I can't help but think Wigan have left it so late to start playing well. If they'd played like this all season they'd easily be mid-table. Unlike relegated sides before them, if they go down, I can see them bouncing back quite quickly.

As much as I hate to say it, he is absolutely made for Arsenal in every way. He'd cost them a fair whack though, that's for sure.

Or anywhere for that matter. He's really poor when played out wide as well.

Wigan go close to scoring another

Came through at a time when the media were trumpeting all the UK's new wave tika-taka geniuses; Ramsey, Henderson, Rodwell etc.

As usual, it turns out they're the usual b0ll0cks, one-paced, doesn't score, barely tackles, can't pass, can't create midfielders that seem so popular with clubs these days.

If Punch hadn't scored on Sunday, I'd be ****ting out of my arse right now. A quick browse on the Sunderland forums show how we would be feeling!

TBH both Henderson and Rodwell looked good before expensive moves to teams they were not ready for. The price and Kenny killed Henderson and basically not playing did the same to Rodwell

There was an Arsenal fan on TalkSport earlier giving it the biggun, saying that Arsenal could finish 3rd because they'd score tons of goals against their last two oppositions, easily scoring 3 or more tonight. Saying things like that is basically asking for trouble, especially with regards to a team that just won the FA Cup from giant killing the former League Champions. I won't deny Arsenal will go on and win this, they very well might, but not by the romp he was expecting I'm sure.

Fabregas is out of favour at Barca and apparently Arsenal have first option on him.

Well in Theo.

Not sure he is the player they 'need' but certainly it will strengthen, if nothing more than to replace Rosicky, but they need a proper DM, a decent dominant CB and a top striker, perhaps even a keeper
