He was excellent v Kettering in a pre-season game two summers ago, where Paul Ifil played for the home team. (Met Dune at that game, not what I would otherwise have expected....)

He isn't the youngest now (20)... Would love to see him break through but I fear his chance has passed, has now broken into the Wales u21's mind. Maybe a chance off the bench v Stoke?

Maybe a loan spell, if he could show something for a championship team next year he's young enough for that to be considered a good sign rather then having "found his level".

How did you know it was Dune? Did ypu have your forum user name on the back of your shirt and he came up and said 'hi I'm Dune from the mboard'?

No, there was a thread on here before the game where those travelling contacted each other and sent PM's to introduce themselves ahead of it. Met a couple of other forum members too, was a good evening all in.

That must have been in the days after seating plans where all the range on here then.

Seems to of featured a lot in pre season, reckon he may be challenging for first team next season, not seen much of him but what I have seen he looks quick and can put a decent ball in,anyone rate him for first team?

I can see Chambers breaking through this year as well. Turnbull is good but competition for CB is stronger and as they develop a little later he may have to wait a while longer.

His pace took him easily past the S04 defence on wednesday a number of times.

Saw the short clip on Saints Player which saw him just pushing the ball past the defender - something we haven't seen much of recently -and then shooting. Certainly fast and confident in his pace and a little more composure could have yielded results. Nice o see the potential anyway. Where was he playing most of the game, as it wasn't entirely clear from the short clip?

I said last season he would be the one to watch and it's great that Lloyd is stepping it up for us as we are short of a speedy winger to come off the bench.

It's amazing really that we can wheel out this young kids while so many of the other teams in the premiership can't produce one.

My next prediction for the future is Dominic Gape, he's very young now & is head and shoulders over everyone for his age.

Future England captain I reckon.

Good call (although they are also talking about Harrison Reed as a natural leader for the future). The next wave also has Seager and Rowe of course. Exciting times!

Yes indeed Ryan Seager who I think is only 16.

Striker go for loads of money these days and you never know we have a golden gem on our hands if he continues to progress.

Can anyone remember the last big striker we had that was banging them in for the youth and then he disappeared to the non leagues I believe.

Going back 7 years ago.

Jamie White was scoring for fun till he did his cruciate and the broke his ankle. Was at Winchester where he scored something like 52 in 36 games. Now at Salisbury I think.

Wouldn't recommend searching his name in Google images, mind.

Especially with David Cameron watching. :scared:

Star quality for all to see v Schalke..

Potential to be first team player.

Confidence , speed and bags of talent..

Good luck to the lad and may he stay free from injuries with a good dose of fortune.

Well done Isgrove and the staff at Saints.:)

Gape is 2 months older than Ward-Prowse. ;)

Just as impressive is how eloquent and well spoken these lads are. AOC and TW are always being put up for interviews by Arsenal and they come across as very intelligent. Good schooling from our academy.

Are there any of our young prospects that might shine in the first team as strikers within the next couple of years? Jake Sinclair was highlighted as one of four Saints players to look out for a year or so ago, the others being Shaw, Ward-Prowse and Chambers. He seems to be fading from the radar lately, whereas Sam Gallagher and Ryan Seager appear to be on the up. Can anybody see these three making the grade anytime soon?

I half expected him to leave on loan this window.

Did really well for Barnsley last season, then the story was Puel rated him so kept him in-house but are barely featured.

Think he's out of contract in the summer too.
