Stoke build up

Rest for what exactly - its the last game of the season! They will all want to be at the party! Isgrove is training with the first team squad this week so will probably get a cameo. Strongest team available. Saints back to their best!

They seem tired, possibly overtrained. If they play, whilst being overtrained, they have a bigger chance of getting injured (especially Shaw as he is only 17). MP also stated that Lambert hasnt trained properly for some weeks and Shaw and Schneiderlin have had injuries recently.

I am aware that the higher we finish the more money we get, but I would rather we finished 15th, then finishing 12th with vital players being injured and missing parts of the pre season.

Seeing as I'll be making an appearance, don't plan on anything better than a 1-1 draw!!

Of the 21 games I've managed to watch Live or be down the pub and watch "Live" our record is a pretty dismal

P 21 W2 D9 L10.

Which means the games I'v missed "Live" = P 16 W7 D4 L5

Christ it's even worse than I thought it would be.

Sorry Folks.

Phil really wasn't joking about banning you was he?

Would love to beat Stoke purely because of how they bailed Pompey out with Loanees etc. while they were flicking the V's at football and bending all the rules. What is it? About £2M a position?

800K'ish 17th would get us the square root of not much; bout 2.5 million and 11th about 6.5 million; based on last years figures of course. So 14 million equal share, about 5 million in facility fees (TV games) 19 million from overseas TV revenue (equal shares)

and somewhere between 2 and 7 million in prize money I suppose. Total somewhere between 40 and 45 million based on last year.

Goes up a bit every year though and next year there is more overseas revenue to be shared.

i am flying over for this game.

not had too much luck this season.

so my expectations arent that high.

would love for us to go out with all guns blazing. Gonna have a cracking day anyhow.

can see Puncheon , Guly , Ward-Prouse all deservidly getting a game. Not exactly a weaker option.

dont think it would be an easy game for Forren to debut. I mean Stoke Hoof Wrestle FC.

Said SRL got clattered by some lumps a few games ago, got no fouls and went off moaning at the ref big time at half time, not been the same since. targeted.

indeed; when you look at the post match gallery on the OS you see loads of fouls that the ref just doesn't sanction; Rickie seems to be on the receiving end of a lot of them. Mind you we're perpetrating a few of them as well; not on Rickie though.

Morgan: "There has been a big progression under the new manager"

From that you get the impression that him and a few others would probably leave if Pochettino and Cortese left.

as its his last game (if he is not injured) what sort of reception should michael owen get seeing as he was one of the best england forwards to play for the three lions IMO and IMO no current england striker player is good enough yet?

was just a random question thought?

I hope MP proves he's actually been watching the games and drops Lallana. Puncheon must be amazed not to be starting at the moment and off the back of an equaliser at Sunderland he must start. I'd be tempted to leave Forren out now we are this far through the season but why the hell we bought a player who was injured until the end of a campaign, I don't know. What a waste of wages. Why not agree to take him in the summer?!

If we don't win this we really have finished the season with a whimper and, after some spectacular results under MP, have slipped to mediocrity and a fair few performances worse than those served up under NA. Lets also give Morgan a bag load of support going into the summer, he needs to know he's a hero at Saints because he's the player the big boys will be looking at.

Maybe because Liverpool were offering him a trial and we wanted to get in there first?
