Next seasons final position

I predict a struggle, similar to this season.

If we're persisting with this style of football, then it's by no means a good thing. Some teams have found our style easy to play against - QPR, even at their shambolic worst, were able to beat us.

I wouldn't call it 'second season syndrome' but teams have had six months to see us play and get used to what we do. Unless we invest a lot of money, I think we're going to be at risk.

Sorry to p*ss on your bonfire and all that...

i don't wanna be too greedy, I just want us to get more points than we gotten this season. And continue doing that for the rest of all time!

The voice of reason...is....a...bear! And I thought it was Owls that were supposed to be wise! ;-)

I like this. Improvement every season please.

Absolutely hillarious predicting now.

I'll wait to see what pre-season and transfers we get before predicting what happens next season.

Just like your "hilarious" going down thread....

But i know you will moan regardless of what happens...you must get off on it...

I think you can rest assured that whatever your own predictions, they will be roundly ignored by any remotely intelligent person.

You've been comically wrong over the last three seasons.

That "We're going down" thread you started is comedy gold. Pure comedy gold.

Yes, it was wrong. It was an emotional response to seeing us go behind, Toon winning and WBA rolling over against our position yet again.

Doesnt hide the fact that making predictions now about the end of next season is plain stupid. The two things are not connected.

It's been a bit of a pattern for you though, hasn't it? You also strongly tipped us to miss out on promotion from L1 and the NPC. A truly dismal record of predictions over several years, I'm sorry to say.

Personally, I'm looking at some of the sides that will be in the PL next year.

Fulham

Sunderland (should be ok)

WBA

West Ham

Norwich

Stoke

I personally think that we have a real opportunity to overtake all of those sides this summer. We already have the basis of a good, young, squad. We have the financial clout to add to it even further.

Those teams have aging squads, especially Fulham, who I think will be in a right mess next year. It will cost a fortune to upgrade all of those sides, and with the basis we already have, it won't cost us a great deal to overtake them.

That would put us top 10, maybe 11th. Got to be happy with that.

Come off it, we could sign Messi, Ronaldo and Falcao and you would still have us down for 20th!

You have done it during loads of games, many we go onto draw or win. It makes you look cretinous.

Honestly some posters ! I understand your emotions and your passions for our team. Alpine, you are one of the more colourful posters that brings a bit of spark to the sight. Long may you continue my friend !

They guy who said with some certainty that we are relegated today (before the game had finished, with one game to play, on the day we secured our place) dares to criticise a speculative thread about next season. Awesome hypocrisy.

If things stayed as they are now, we'd be competing against those teams for position next season, as we have done this season. But we have the luxury of money to spend on the team, which those teams (WHam aside, perhaps) won't be able to match. Therefore our success or otherwise compared to them will be determined by our transfers, which puts us in a really positive place.
