The FA Cup Final

The last 19 years of cup finals only on 4 occasions have both team scored, and only once has this been more than one goal by one team. 3-3 west ham v Liverpool.

Just shows how one sided the cup final has become!

Between 1994 and 2005 12 cup finals only one of these both teams scored in.

Paul Scharner.

He is utterly overcome. It obviously can mean something to overseas players.

Scharner looks a genuinely nice guy, and he doesn't earn more out of advertising than of his footballing skills.

It means a lot for many of the Wigan players who quite frankly won't get higher than this in what football glory is concerned!

Interviewer: Roberto, did the best team win?

Mancini: I don't know, it was a good game, they scored in the last minute. We didn't play well...

Interviewer: Why?

Mancini: I don't know.

Sums the bloke up. Clueless and classless.

Thoroughly bored of Wigan and their bloody story.

For Saints fans to criticise Wigan as they have had a benefactor would be something of a hypocrisy. Their model is seemingly similar to ours, spend on squad/infrastructure to get to the Premier League and then aim to be self sustaining.

Of course, the self sustaining bit is the hard part...
