Di Canio is really a feckwit. Mind you 2 good thumpings and a decent Wigan win at Villa changes everything for Sunderland 38 points might not be enough. Which is to say, f**k all. On that level, there is no difference between how we do and how others do. By contrast, players do have a degree of control. hypochondriac Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 I don't think there is anything wrong with being happy with the Wigan result. I bet our players were.

Barry the Badger Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 and why should they not. Di Canio is really a feckwit. I thought he was spot on.
The Kraken Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 I thought he was spot on. Me too. People are quick to note the great spirit within our squad, di Canio wants to see something similar from his. Seeing them all f*ck about as if on a jolly must have brought home to him that he has a squad who are happy to go through the motions and collect their massive pay packets by doing the bare minimum to survive. I'd much rather have a manager who never settles for second best, I imagine MP would have reacted just the same.
Olallana Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 I would expect the same from our manager if we were in the same position as they. 3 points ahead, if they lose against us they have Spurs away. All it takes is that Wigan beat Aston Villa then.....(might be q question of GD though of course) Sunderland are far from clear, that single point between them and us are hugh at the moment for the chancs of survival. Wigan's GD is 11 worse than Sunderland's. Di Canio is a mentalist, and if he goes off half-cocked at EVERYTHING, it will very soon lose any impact with his players, who are playing at the same level that he did and aren't going to be as in awe of him as Swindon's were. tomf05 Posted 11 May, 2013 Share Posted 11 May, 2013 On the other hand it would seem poch welcomes news about other teams doing badly and actively keeps his eye on it! http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/313988/Southampton-boss-Mauricio-Pochettino-wants-to-leave-last-day-drama-to-Sunderland Which do you think is the better mind set though really, I'd have to say although you can't help but celebrate results like Wigan Swansea they should be relied upon.
