Dan Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Interesting hearing about his time at Saints with Beatts. Always liked him when he was with us and it was a shame to see him go. Says on the video below, that despite playing for England the highlight of his career was playing for Saints the team he had always supported. The video should play without you having to be signed in or a user of Facebook.

twopintsnilnil Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Almost unwatchable. Is Bridge recovering from major tranquiliser addiction?
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Once went out with him and Beatts. Bridgey was a complete kn0b. Beatts was a good lad though.

Maggie May Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Great player for us and I'm pleased a local lad, and Saints fan, has done well. But it's clear his relationship with Frankie is a sham. How on earth did he pull her with a personality like that? Oh yeah, he spoke out of his wallet rather than his mush!

Saint137 Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Think it was more that injury against Newcastle that did for him, was never the same afterwards Always a place in my memories for that goal and celebration against the Skates @ Chelsea And the Channon windmilling against Bolton (I think)

svetigpung Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 I thought he sounded like a young Mick Jagger... Nice to hear him talk so passionately about the team that he genuinely supported as a kid. You wont hear that from many modern day players. Swapsies with Fox anyone?

Saints boy in Leeds Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Comes across like a junkie. Not impressed. Got to step in on this, Knew Bridge through a close pal of mine before he went to Chelsea and has always talked like that, always up for a laugh and was good company when out. Had a few drinks but never saw him ****ed. He came across as a nice lad and has his feet on the ground, played against him a couple of times as he went to a rival school (stanmore) you could tell even at 14 he was head and shoulders above the rest. Bucks Saint Posted 10 May, 2013 Share Posted 10 May, 2013 Remember him scoring for Chelski against the skates and then going mental in front of the skates fans. Top lad, all else forgiven
Wade Garrett Posted 11 May, 2013 Share Posted 11 May, 2013 Watched the first half of the play off last night, thought he played well. Would definitely be a good addition to our squad.
The Mac Attack Posted 11 May, 2013 Share Posted 11 May, 2013 Thought he played very well last night. Hardly going to set the world alight but he could still compete in the prem.

Would definitely be a good addition to our squad. disagree...his career is mostly behind him. we are looking at players with a future. If he is such a big Saints fan perhaps he should have considered doing a Craig Bellamy and returning to us when he could have helped us in the lower leagues. or am i being harsh. Shrek Posted 11 May, 2013 Share Posted 11 May, 2013 plus http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/95883/Beatties-Chinese-battle.html Beattie said something like, ‘well, I’m a better footballer than you’. “Then a noodle spoon was thrown which hit one of the fans on the forehead. “All hell broke loose. Luckily the waiters stepped in before any blows were thrown.” Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/95883/Beatties-Chinese-battle.html#ixzz2SySnlSey Absolutely brilliant!
