Pre-Match Music

After hearing both Sunderland and Wigan's little musical ditties, I thought to myself if there is actually a suitable song with which the players can run out to and get the crowd involved?

Don't get me wrong - I don't want it to be cheesy, nor am I advocating music at key points in football matches (after goals, grrrrrr) but there must be something out there that could get the whole crowd jumping? I don't know if it'll have quite the same effect over here but when I was at a Roma game recently, their pre-match song was absolutely belting (with the last bit sung by the fans, truly spine-tingling).

So, if you could suggest any song for Saints to run out to, what would it be?*

* Just not the Woolston Ferry song, ffs.

I understand your concerns, and you are right to be concerned. Let's just NEVER start it. They do it in the US. Boston Red socks, for instance have "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond. The PA plays it, and the crowd sings the Boom boom boom part.......

No way, not ever.....No part in British footy for that crap.

Kill that idea in your head before it eats your brain.

NC leading the crowd from the directors box in a rousing version of Joe Dolce's Shadd Uppa ya Face would be awesome

They could put pictures of MLT on the scoreboards with NC singing it in his direction and encouraging the crowd to point to the scoreboards and all sing along 'shadd pupa ya face' at the relevant point on the song. Imagine a 30,000 crowd all singing that and pointing to the scoreboards, it would be CRAZY.
