dubai_phil Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 I just want to say, while it has crossed the mind of every adult on the planet who enjoy music.... it wasn't me. http://www.thenational.ae/arts-culture/on-stage/justin-bieber-attacked-on-stage-in-dubai Justin Bieber survived an onstage attack in the second Dubai show at the Sevens Stadium tonight. [h=3]Related[/h] ■ Bieber appears on Dubai stage 2 hours late for a second day in a row An exhausted Bieber manages to wow Dubai crowd with set In pictures: Justin Bieber performs in Dubai The 19-year-old pop-star was at the piano performing the set closer Believe when the attacker - a youth in a white shirt and jeans - stormed the stage, and grabbed an unsuspecting Bieber from behind. A swarm of security guards rushed the stage and lunged at the attacker with Bieber managing to free himself and quicky dash to the side of stage. The security guards tussled with the offender who pushed the piano off its hinges and it clattered onto the stage, rendering it unplayable for the remainder of the show A rattled Bieber and eight piece band managed to finish the song without pause while the attacker was taken off stage followed by the damaged piano. Bieber returned for an encore after a three minute break and finished the concert with Boyfriend and the final song Baby. eurosaint Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 TBF, if he was two hours late in starting a concert which people have paid good money for (and he has previous!) then the frustration is perhaps understandable ! I'm not condoning violence in any way but Bieber clearly is so far up his own arse that he thinks he can do what he likes without consideration for others ! It's no doubt 'child star syndrome' but lowlife behaviour in my opinion !!

It's no doubt 'child star syndrome' but lowlife behaviour in my opinion !! Totally agree on that re the O2 gig. BUT. I 've been here in Dubai over 19 years. In all that time EVERY independent single gig (apart from All Day events) has started at 9pm. Part of that is working hours here are different many people work a split shift and finish work up to 7pm. As such the traffic (rush hour) in this place is insane up until around 19:30. Now equally, EVERY gig I have been to here has "Opened the doors" at 7pm. Happy Mondays? Gates opened at 7pm Band started at 9:30pm Bieber? Gates opened at 7pm He started at 9:30pm The Script? 9:15pm Only JLo of recent gigs has started bang on 9pm and THEN people wrote to the papers to Complain that she was on time! My mate who actually owns the company that builds the temporary stadiums for these gigs KNEW he was due on at 9pm and so took his two kids (and earplugs) to the venue at 8:30. So teh WORST he could be accused of was being half an hour late.... The Oh we had to wait two hours brigade were the ones who got there at 7 so they could stand at the front (and found it was the VIP section at 100 quid a ticket so they were moaqning before they'd even looked at their watches!) Sorry but in this one the press reports are out of order and "kicking the prat" is more newsworthy than the truth

scotty Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Tell us more Scotty? A proper grand piano couldnt be just shoved over like that. Its an electronic fake one, which is also why it continued playing after the "assault". And biebers a well-known coc[deleted on legal advice] fwiw, I reckon the attacker was really a spurned lover. scotty Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Just in Beiber takes on a whole (hole) new meaning Biebers dad bought him a powerful new motorbike for his birthday recently. Justin was thrilled. He spent the whole afternoon helping Ken ride it round the living-room floor, with Barbie on pillion.
DuncanRG Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Just a popstar. Not sure why everyone hates him so much - it's the level of obsession I'd be worried about! But we can all look back at Beatlemania with rose-tinted glasses I suppose.

DuncanRG Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Most on this list were not even born when the Beatles broke up and I was only six I certainly wasn't born - which increases the effect I suppose. We're always told that Beatlemania was a wonderful thing that swept the world but the obsession with Justin Bieber/One Direction (which seems pretty similar to me, even if the music was better) isn't seen in quite the same way.
